CNN Blasts Trump for Wanting Rich People to Run the Economy

What this CNN Panel doesn’t get is that this is exactly what Donald Trump was elected to do. Speak politically incorrect truths and take politically incorrect actions to change the culture in Washington and alter the direction of the country.

Here’s the terrible thing Trump said during remarks in Cedar Rapids, Iowa Wednesday night:

Somebody said, “Why did you appoint a rich person to be in charge of the economy?” No it’s true. And Wilbur’s a very rich person in charge of commerce . . . We can’t have the world taking advantage of us anymore. And I love all people, rich or poor, but in those particular positions, I just don’t want a poor person. Does that make sense?

Oh the outrage! Putting people in charge of figuring out how to make America wealthy who have already figured out how to make themselves wealthy. How illogical!

But of course, if you express a reality that doesn’t treat everyone equally, that doesn’t assume the false premise that we’re all exactly the same deep down inside, then you’ve sinned against mankind. And deeply upset CNN.

Note how Cuomo repeatedly expresses disbelief that people in Trump’s audience are actually applauding the president’s line that he doesn’t want poor people running the economy.

It’s just another example about how average voters are so much smarter than the people on TV who are lecturing them. They get why they’re applauding. They want people who know what they’re doing in charge. And they’re not snowflakes who think Trump is insulting them, nor are they warped with the distorting thinking of limousine liberals who can afford to create their own reality instead of confront one that wil pay the bills.

Listen, I’ve proven many times that I don’t know how to make lots of money. Mr. President, if Wilbur Ross ever resigns as Secretary of Commerce, please, please please, don’t appoint me to the position.

And BTW, who was Barack Obama’s Secretary of Commerce his entire second term? Penny Pritzker, a billionaire from Chicago.
