House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claims she prays for President Trump. Of course, nobody believes this.
But the White House Dossier investigative team was able to enter her church after Christmas services and find a copy of her prayer, for Donald Trump, still in her pew.
What follows is the prayer itself, appearing for the very first time here on White House Dossier.
Dear God, I offer this prayer for our president, Donald Trump . . .
I pray that, during the State of the Union, his teleprompter displays Google Map directions to Nova Scotia.
I pray that, despite overcooking his steaks, a bacteria survives in one of them, and makes him sick.
I pray that Santa leaves a lump of clean coal in his sock.
I pray that Melania leaves him for Stephen Miller.
I pray that because of global warming, Mar-a-Lago falls into the sea and washes up in some shithole country.
I pray that Steny Hoyer finally asks me out.
I’m sorry God, that’s the wrong prayer.
Back to Trump.
I pray that Jerry Nadler stops asking me out.
I pray that Rudy Giuliani keeps having too many glasses of red wine at the Trump Hotel before going on Fox News.
I pray that Auntie Maxine Waters rents the Lincoln Bedroom for two months.
I pray that he travels to my district in San Francisco and steps in human shit.
And I pray that he wins reelection, because then I can impeach him again and again and again.
Do you have any thoughts on the kinds of prayers Ms. Pelosi might offer for the president?
That is, she “deplores” them.
Maybe she prays for them too, you know, like she does for Trump.
I was so happy to see him call that out. Dispenses with the Washington BS.
Well, you might lose the House as well as the presidency over this, so enjoy it while you can.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will hold up the articles in the House and use them as leverage to get the kind of Senate trial her party wants.
This is not going to work out for the Democrats. They are going to get destroyed for messing with the process, which has already been a successful line of attack for President Trump and Republicans.
The right to a speedy trial, Democrats’ fear that what they’ve done is illegitimate – the lines of attack are evident. I do not think independents want this to continue, let alone conservatives. Democrats’ handling of impeachment has been a disaster, and they are about to make it worse.
From the Washington Examiner:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday she plans to send the House-passed impeachment articles to the Senate as soon as lawmakers strike a deal on how to conduct a trial.
“The next thing for us will be when we see the process that is set forth in the Senate,” she said. “Then we’ll know the number of monitors that we may have to go forward.”
Pelosi must appoint Democratic lawmakers to serve as managers to prosecute the case in the Senate. The House has to pass a bill authorizing Pelosi to appoint the managers.
“When we see what they have, we’ll know who, and how many, we will send over,” Pelosi, a California Democrat, said.
The House is set to adjourn for the week, which means the House is unlikely to vote until January at the earliest on a resolution authorizing Pelosi to appoint the impeachment managers who will deliver the articles to the Senate.
Senate leaders are expected to meet “soon” to discuss the terms of a Senate trial, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, a New York Democrat, said Thursday.
President Trump Tuesday sent a passionate, angry letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi protesting his impeachment as less fair than the Salem witch trials.
According to the Washington Examiner:
President Trump wrote a six-page letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi attacking impeachment proceedings by Democrats, saying that they “cheapened the importance of the very ugly word” and that the charges against him are baseless.
“By proceeding with your invalid impeachment, you are violating your oaths of office, you are breaking your allegiance to the Constitution, and you are declaring open war on American Democracy,” Trump wrote Tuesday. The House is expected to begin considering articles of impeachment on the floor Wednesday.
He wrote that the proceedings inflicted “great damage and hurt” on his family.
“You dare to invoke the Founding Fathers in pursuit of this election-nullification scheme — yet your spiteful actions display unfettered contempt for America’s founding, and your egregious conduct threatens to destroy that which our Founders pledged their very lives to build,” he wrote. “Even worse than offending the Founding Fathers, you are offending Americans of faith by continually saying ‘I pray for the President,’ when you know this statement is not true, unless it is meant in a negative sense.”
“More due process was afforded to those accused in the Salem Witch Trials,” Trump wrote.
Trump . . . argued that fear of primary challengers was the real reason for action against him. “Each one of your members lives in fear of a socialist primary challenger — this is what is driving impeachment,” he wrote.
I am so tired of hearing the Democrats invoking the Founding Fathers in their impeachment of President Trump.
The Democrats’ policies, ethics, attitudes and even use of the Constitution are so far from what the Founders envisioned for this country, it disgusts me to hear them invoked. Especially for such a partisan exercise.
Anyway, Pelosi sounds like she’s getting ready to exhume James Madison and have him testify before Jerry Nadler’s committee.
Please, Democrats, at least stop sounding like this is something you are doing reluctantly and with a sense of gravitas. Just go ahead and get it over with.
Former Fox News reporter James Rosen asked Nancy Pelosi if she hates President Trump.
Which is kind of a silly question, but anyway, it provoked her, as intended.
“I don’t hate anyone,” Pelosi said. “We don’t hate anyone.”
She then continues:
“It has nothing to do with that. I think the president is a coward when it comes to helping our kids who are afraid of gun violence. I think he is cruel when he doesn’t deal with helping our Dreamers, of which we are proud. I think he is in denial about the climate crisis. However, that’s about the election … take it up in the election.”
Um, well, how can you not hate a fella like that?
“Don’t mess with me when it comes to words like that,” Pelosi said. “As a Catholic, I resent you using ‘hate’ in a sentence that references me.”
So now the reporter is anti-Catholic. You can’t ask Catholics if they hate people.
At least Catholics get to participate in identity politics. They’ve mostly been left out.
I know a lot of you have contempt for Nancy Pelosi. And certainly, there’s plenty that’s contemptible. But I also find her to be a very sharp political operator, and in some ways I’ve got a lot of respect for her. A woman who raised a bunch of kids and then went into politics and… Continue Reading
Well, he won’t, unless things start to go wrong for him. There’s no need for him to do so, given that he is not going to be convicted by the Senate. He could only screw things up. And of course, he repeatedly said he was thinking of chatting with special prosecutor Robert Mueller, but he… Continue Reading
Featured Post Quid pro quo is out. Bribery and other criminal terms are in. That’s because Democrats understand that the whole impeachment drama is not taking hold with enough of the public. They have described President Trump as attempting a quid-pro-quo with Ukraine — upholding money trying to get Ukraine to do investigations into activities… Continue Reading
This has been the first impeachment inquiry not to be authorized by a vote of the House, and the question of whether it was legitimate might have otherwise made its way to the Supreme Court, where the Democrats may well have lost. From a “Dear Colleague” letter by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: For weeks, the… Continue Reading
