As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Bachmann Tells Obama: Bomb Iran

Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn, told President Obama directly this week that he needed to bomb Iran, and that if he didn’t, Iran would gain a nuclear weapons and it would be his fault.

Bachmann, who spoke with Obama at the White House Christmas party, did not seek reelection and is retiring from Congress this year.

According to the Washington Free Beacon:

Despite the objections of her family members, who didn’t want to be embarrassed, Bachmann said she wanted to give some “substantive comments” to the president. She waited until pictures were taken and her family walked off the stage.

“I turned to the president and I said, something to the effect of, ‘Mr. President, you need to bomb the Iranian nuclear facilities, because if you don’t, Iran will have a nuclear weapon on your watch and the course of world history will change,’” she told the Washington Free Beacon.

“And he got his condescending smile on his face and laughed at me and said, ‘Well Michele, it’s just not that easy.’ And I said to him, ‘No, Mr. President, you’re the president, it will happen on your watch, and you’ll have to answer to the world for this.’ And that was it and then I left. Merry Christmas,” she said with a laugh.

Well, she did what she had to do. But he will never do what he has to do.

Cavuto and Bachmann Brawl Over Boehner Suit

A testy exchange here between Fox News host Neil Cavuto, who goes on the attack against Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) over Speaker John Boehner’s decision to sue President Obama over his abuse of executive power.

Cavuto leaves his manners on the cutting room floor – I assume because it makes for good TV – repeatedly interrupting and talking over Bachmann and then ending the segment while she was still speaking.

Cavuto demands that Republicans “fix whatever’s wrong right now” rather than pointing fingers and launching lawsuits.

Oh really, how? Send the DC police to the White House to make sure the president is obeying the law? Call Spiderman? Or better, Captain America?

Cavuto obviously doesn’t favor impeachment either. Rather, he seems more concerned in showing off how he can swat down a leader of the Tea Party through bluster in lieu of offering any serious argument.

Michele Bachmann: I Lost My Health Insurance

Appearing with Wolf Blitzer Thursday on CNN, Michele Bachmann said she is one of the victims of Obamacare who is losing their health insurance and must try to find a new plan.

She said:

I lost my health insurance under Obamacare. And so now I’m forced to go into the D.C. health exchange. I’m waiting until they fix this thing. I’m not going to sit there and frustrate myself for hours and hours . . .

At some point we’re going to have to figure it out. I have a husband with very significant health issues. We have to have health insurance. So we will get it figured it out.

Democratic operative Paul Begala, who appeared with her, tried to interject that she should be happy she now won’t be discriminated against because of her husband’s pre-existing condition. But he seems to have forgotten that Bachmann and her husband wouldn’t have needed new insurance in the first place if it weren’t for Obamacare.

“Actually, we were just fine before,” Bachmann replied.

Bachmann: Obama is a Socialist

Michele Bachmann ended her presidential campaign, criticizing President Obama’s “socialist” policies and saying this election may be the last chance to keep the United States off the road to socialism.

In an emotional but decidedly determined and non-weepy withdrawal speech, Bachmann said the founding fathers were watching, casting the election as a referendum on whether the country will continued to uphold their values.
