Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris Support Reparations

Even Bernie isn’t backing reparations. At least not yet.

According to Fox News:

Two leading Democratic presidential candidates — U.S. Sens. Kamala Harris of California and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts — have reportedly said they support reparationsfor black Americans affected by slavery, reflecting a shift in the importance of race and identity issues within the party.

The New York Times reported Thursday that Harris doubled down on her support for reparations after agreeing with a host on the popular radio show “The Breakfast Club” that the race-conscious policy was necessary to address the legacies of slavery and discrimination in the United States.

“We have to be honest that people in this country do not start from the same place or have access to the same opportunities,” Harris said in the statement to the Times. “I’m serious about taking an approach that would change policies and structures and make real investments in black communities.”

Warren also supports reparations. “We must confront the dark history of slavery and government-sanctioned discrimination in this country that has had many consequences, including undermining the ability of black families to build wealth in America for generations,” she told the Times. “We need systemic, structural changes to address that.”

Video || Elizabeth Warren Takes First Step Toward Running for President

I’m predicting great things.

For whomever she’s running against.

Today, Sen. Elizabeth Warren announced she’s forming an “exploratory committee.” I’m sorry, I just don’t see it. Doesn’t sound genuine. She might be genuine, but she doesn’t sound it. And she lacks a sense of strength and presence possessed even by Hillary, whatever you want to say about her.

It’s not about male or female. People have to have a sense you’re willing to kill millions of people with nuclear weapons. Warren, no. Cory Booker, no. Kamala Harris, yes. Hillary, yes. Trump, yes.

National Congress of American Indians: DNA Testing Can’t Prove Heritage

We already know that Elizabeth Warren’s claim of Native American ancestry is silly, because the results of her DNA test show that she might be something like 1/256th American Indian. What’s more, she’s lied in the past, listing herself simply as “Native American,” which is unequivocally untrue.

But according to the nation’s largest and oldest Native American organization, the National Congress of Indians, it gets even worse.

A paper on the NCAI website, written to answer Native American leader’s concerns about claims people make that they are of American Indian heritage, states that it’s not possible:

One type of DNA testing called DNA fingerprinting can be used to help document close biological relationships, such as those between parents and children, as well as among other close family members. Other kinds of testing for genetic ancestry use markers to see how similar an individual is to a broader population or group, based on probabilities drawn from databases of research on populations and group genetic characteristics.

However, no DNA testing can “prove” an individual is American Indian and/or Alaska Native, or has ancestry from a specific tribe. Genetic testing can provide evidence for the biological relationship between two individuals (e.g., paternity testing), but there are no unique genes for individual tribes or American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) ancestry in general. While research scientists have found that some genetic markers are found mostly only in AI/ANs, these markers are neither unique to AI/ANs nor predictive of AI/AN identity.

Actual Native Americans are properly outraged that she’s claiming to share their heritage.

“It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven,” Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. said in a statement. “Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage.”

Warren should not only be ashamed of herself, she has harmed her presidential prospects by showing herself a fool and an liar. The Democrats have plenty of other potential candidates, and will more likely choose one a little less strange. Althogh given the currrent roster, I’m not sure that’s possible.

Lindsey Graham to Take DNA Test to See If He’s More Native American Than Warren

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., is a lot of fun. He has a certain joie de vivre, sense of humor, and mischievousness that I enjoy, even if sometimes he’s too moderate for my taste.

Now he’s decided to take a blood test to see if one of his relatives slept with a Native American way back.

“I’m going to take a DNA test,” Graham told “Fox and Friends” Tuesday. “I’ve been told my grandmother was part Cherokee Indian. It may all just be talk.”

I’ll bet we all have some kind of weirdness in our DNA we were never aware of. How could it be that Jews like me, for example, have fair skin when they’re an Asian race? Well, they lived in Europe for centuries, and guess what musta been goin’ on . . . not all of it was kept within The Tribe, apparently.

And how about the other part of Sen. Warren’s ancestry? It’s all white folks. I’m willing to be she has more people in her background who were killing Native Americans or oppressing blacks than she does Native Americans.

What about that part of her heritage? I’ll be she didn’t put “Plantation Owner” on her resume.

Graham says he wants not just the $1 million Warren thinks she was promised from Trump if she took a test – she wasn’t – but a casino too.

Trump: Warren DNA Test Reveals She is a Fraud

He’s absolutely right, and where is the outraged coverage in the media about what Warren did in releasing her DNA test?

Let’s imagine at one point that Trump claimed to be Native American, as Elizabeth Warren has. And then he decided to release a test showing that if he is, he’s probably around 1/256th Native American. Imagine the ridicule in the press, that he thinks that just because his toenail is Native American, then he is.

And imagine how he would be called an idiot for even release such a test, which, actually proves that you are NOT Native American.

It’s like calling a beef stew a carrot because that’s one of the ingredients.

No, Trump Does Not Need to Give $1 million to Elizabeth Warren’s Favorite Charity

Elizabeth Warren today is touting a DNA test that indicates she is at best, 1/64th Native American, and more likely about 1/256th Native American, to justify the misleading claims she made earlier in her career to list herself as a Native American in a directory of law professors.

The test indicates that she has a Native American ancestor going back six to ten generations. If that’s enough to claim you’re of Native American heritage and that it’s introduced high cheekbones into your family, then I’m a Martian.

I’m serious. There’s Martian blood in me from way back in the 1700s during the Martian landing it what is now Gdansk, Poland.

I guess that explains a lot about me.

Unfortunately, there is no minority set-aside for people whose ancestors emigrated from Mars, but I’m working on it.

Anyway, Warren now claims Trump owes a million dollars to her favorite charity. He did say something about this, during remarks in July, but he was very specific about the circumstances:

I shouldn’t tell you because I like to not give away secrets,” Trump said. “But let’s say I’m debating Pocahontas. I promise you I’ll do this: I will take, you know those little kits they sell on television . . .  learn your heritage . . .

And in the middle of the debate, when she proclaims that she is of Indian heritage because her mother said she has high cheekbones, that is her only evidence, her mother said we have high cheekbones.

We will take that little kit — but we have to do it gently. Because we’re in the #MeToo generation, we have to do it gently. And we will very gently take that kit, and slowly toss it, hoping it doesn’t injure her arm, and we will say: I will give you a million dollars to your favorite charity, paid for by Trump, if you take the test and it shows you’re an Indian.

So, she has to take the test during a debate. Trump is careful about the contracts he enters into . . . In the context in which he offered it, it’s clear Trump is being facetious.

UPDATE: Here’s a comment from Trump Monday afternoon:

Elizabeth Warren Called Out for Saying Criminal Justice System “Racist” from “Front to Back”

This is great.

Elizabeth Warren faced the following question at a town hall Thursday:

As a young American of color, your recent comments that you made a new Orleans are just a little bit concerning to me. You said that the justice system . . . is racist from front to back. I’m just concerned that your rhetoric there is inciting some of the division that you claim that the president is [inciting].

Your darn right he should be concerned. Not only does this spark division, but when a leading presidential candidate, for her own political benefit and demagogic purposes, says the Justice system is systematically working against minorities, it undermines the rule of law.

She knows this. She’s a former Harvard Law professor. That’s why she seems so defensive in her answer.

The racial division in this country was not started by President Trump. It was begun by the left and in particular Barack Obama as president with the outcry over the relatively rare instances of racist police brutality against minorities. Over a few high-profile examples, we have reintroduced racial division in this country that was healing with the election of Obama.

The only thing I got excited about with respect to Obama’s election was that he was black, which indicated the progress this country has made. He quickly got to work undoing the unity his own election had fostered.

From a Wall Street Journal opinion piece on the reasons for Chicago’s unfettered violence:

Police morale is poor. Officers told me in interviews they are afraid of doing their best in a tough situation and then losing their jobs after lawyers second-guess them based on footage recorded by their new body cameras.

Here’s another angle. Brave kid.

Video || Elizabeth Warren Suggests Electoral College Causes “Crumbling” of Democracy

Gosh, I know, it’s a terrible thing to lose an election. And Elizabeth Warren is clearly concerned that the same fate incurred by Hillary Clinton may await her – winning the popular vote but losing the Electoral College. From remarks Warren made Tuesday at the “2018 Ideas Conference” for the left-wing think tank Center for… Continue Reading
