No president, perhaps in history, has ever been more available to the press. It’s just that the press doesn’t like what he says, and doesn’t want to hear it.
Impeachment, they couldn’t get enough of, despite all the grandstanding and nonsense that went on there.
Whether or not you like him, whether or not you think he is irresponsible, whether or not you like his hair, he is the president of the United States. Everything he says is news. For journalists to say his briefings should not be covered live and made available to the public makes them not journalists.
But we knew that. Thankfully, CNN’s Chris Cuomo – who by the way is broadcasting from home with COVID-19 – disagrees.
