In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Video | Biden doesn’t want to talk about his swap of Britney Griner for an arms dealer

A very dangerous man, arms dealer Viktor Bout, was released today to the Russians for the imprisoned Britney Griner, a basketball player who refused to take the court for the National Anthem at her games. Will Americans die for her safety?

She represents the best of America, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, quoting President Biden.

  1. Brittney Griner stupidly took drugs to Russia and deserved to be jailed for years. Now she will be coming home, the Democrats will be cheering for her, and the arms dealer will be back in Russia. According to the Democrats, Griner “represents the best of America”. They should be ashamed.

  2. In that 2020 interview with The Republic, Griner said:

“I honestly feel we should not play the national anthem during our season,” Griner said. “I think we should take that much of a stand. ”

If this represents the best of America, kiss it buh bye.

As most folks are saying, glad for Ms Griner on a personal level, happy she is home. Maybe now she will embrace her nation and appreciate it a bit more. But this deal was a terrible decision on many levels.
Consider this: Russia is on their heels with the Ukraine battle, what better time to re engage the Merchant of Death to your team? If team Trump did this move, the media would be screaming that he is personally killing Ukrainians and sidling up to Putin to cause genocide.

and Paul Whalen sits in Russia, bag packed, shaking his head.

  3. Making lite of this but, seriously, this deal is like trading away Aaron Judge from the Yankees to a bench player at East Stroudsburg State.
Makes zero sense, who the hell is our negotiator?
