In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

As Donald Trump jumps back into politics, Ivanka gets out

Donald Trump Tuesday night announced as expected at Mar-a-Lago that he will return to presidential politics with a run for the White House. What was unexpected was that his daughter Ivanka will not be involved. At all. She wasn’t even at the event.

According to Fox News:

Ivanka Trump, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, said she loves and supports her father former President Trump “very much,” but does “not plan to be involved in politics,” and says her “focus is prioritizing” her young children and her family.

“I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family,” Ivanka Trump told Fox News Digital. “I do not plan to be involved in politics.”

“While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena,” she said. “I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and will always be proud of many of our administration’s accomplishments.”

Ivanka’s comments come after her father announced his third presidential campaign Tuesday night. Neither Ivanka nor Donald Trump Jr. attended their father’s announcement ceremony at Mar-a-Lago. Instead, Jared Kushner and Kimberly Guilfoyle attended to show their support.

  1. Respect for Ivanka, putting family first. She’s seen the ugliest side of politics via the media and wants to shield her family as best she can. Do not blame her one bit.

DJT entering the 2024 race is a bit ho-hum, isn’t it? Last night his tone and words were good, parsed, mature. The Trump America admired; patriotic, protective, determined, the problem solver, was on display. But his recent derogatory remarks about fellow GOP members was appalling, and deep down, that is Trump. He can do so much good for our country but fumble the ball as his ego and thin skin interfere with the work of the day.

I think most Americans think, oh boy, here we go again.
The media salivates, HERE WE GO AGAIN ! Yippee!

Maybe the candle will fizzle out so we can focus on candidates and platforms that don’t cause a seismic reaction but get the job done.

  2. He could do so much for the country if he would only tone down his rhetoric, especially against Republicans. But there are enough Republicans who hate him so much, and will work with the Democrats and MSM, that his running will ensure another four years of OBiden.
