In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Biden suggests he will not allow states to decide if a right to privacy is in the Constitution

The Supreme Court appears poised to rule that there is no general, unspecified right to privacy in the Constitution, which is the premise of the Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion.

If the Court overrules Roe, then decisions on whether to allow abortion will be left to the states. President Biden Tuesday indicated he won’t allow that to happen. So what is he going to do exactly to countermand the Supreme Court?

Biden said:

A number of the members of the Court have not acknowledged is that there is a right to privacy in our Constitution.

I strongly believe there is . . .

the idea that we’re going to make a judgment that is going to say that no one can make the judgment to choose to abort a child based on a decision by the Supreme Court, I think, goes way overboard . . .

We have to choose — I mean, look, one of the reasons why I voted against a number of the members of the Court: They refuse to acknowledge that there’s a 9th Amendment. They refuse to acknowledge there’s a right to privacy.

I mean, there are so many fundamental rights that are affected by that. And I’m not allo- — I’m not prepared to leave that to the whims and the — and the — of the public at the moment in local areas.

  1. “whims of the public” . . . in other words, the public voting is a threat to democracy.

That’s a heck of an election message.

  2. Read that last line one more time.
” I am not going to allow, er leave the decision making up to the whims of the public local areas”.

Holy crap, isn’t our foundation based on the good of the public?
This is once again all about federal control of you life. You are just too damn stupid to make up your own mind, to govern locally, to freely elect those that represent your best interest.

If we do what he says, we should then abolish ALL local and state government, just let the Biden Overseers handle everything.

  3. Suddenly Joe is worried about “privacy,” he didn’t worry about it when it came to demanding people get jabbed!
