Sen. Blackburn says Biden could try to keep Roe by putting Jackson on the Court early
In an odd twist, President Biden last month signed Ketanji Brown Jackson’s commission to serve on the Supreme Court early, before retiring Justice Stephen Breyer has left. Last month, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said Biden should clarify that there are still nine justices, and not ten. Jackson cannot make rulings until she is sworn in, something that is traditionally done by the chief justice.
