In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Biden forces health insurers to cover eight free Covid tests per person per month

Right. Sure. Go ahead and try to find eight Covid tests. Another publicity stunt by an administration that has fallen down completely on Covid testing, even as it insists people get vaccinated or tested.

Meantime, the 500 million free tests you can supposedly order from the government have still not arrived.

According to Fox News:

The White House said private health insurers will be required to pay for up to eight COVID-19 tests per person per month starting Jan. 15, while Americans can expect to be able to order free tests purchased by the government later this month.

“Under President Biden’s leadership, we are requiring insurers and group health plans to make tests free for millions of Americans. This is all part of our overall strategy to ramp-up access to easy-to-use, at-home tests at no cost,” Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said in a press release Monday.

But free tests may be hard to find, as a shortage of tests continues to grip the nation.

The administration is encouraging insurers to set up programs with pharmacies that would allow Americans to get tests through their plan with no up-front costs instead of submitting a claim to be reimbursed.

  1. How much more ridiculous can our federal government get? By the time they get their s**t together on any crisis, in this case Omicron, the crisis is largely over.

Just like too many cooks spoil the broth, too many bureaucrats trip all over each other and spoil any good intention.

We need term limits for politicians AND federal government bureaucrats in upper management.

  2. Next fall, every GOP candidate running against an incumbent DEM should take a pic of the millions of unused test kits that the Biden administration bought way too late to be effective.

    LGB !

  3. …and taxes and/or the deficit go up again. We desperately need a balanced budget amendment. These ass-hats will never be fiscally responsible. Right or left.

    1. Great, insurance is already expensive, FJB! Now people will have to choose between groceries, (the few that can be found), taxes, rent/mortgage, gasoline to get to work (provided you aren’t fired for not being vaccinated), or health insurance!
