Biden rips Trump in Jan. 6 speech at the Capitol: ‘Web of lies’

President Biden delivered an unusually blunt speech at the Capitol Thursday on the anniversary of the Jan. 6 riots there, saying Donald Trump has spread a “web of lies” about the 2020 election, values “power over principle,” and has a “bruised ego” he values more than “our democracy or our Constitution.”

Biden said, “For the first time in our history, a president not just lost an election, he tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power as a violent mob breached the Capitol.”

Democrats no doubt will increasingly be focusing on Trump as inflation roars and Biden’s popularity continues to sink.

  1. Seems to me that was a great way to give Trump a mistrial, as the head of the executive branch made inappropriate statements about the guilty status of someone undergoing investigations for potential crimes. NOW find an impartial democrat or liberal for the jury. But witch-hunts and kangaroo courts are ok now I guess.

I would think Joe is a buffoon if I thought he was even aware of what he was saying.
