Biden says Juneteenth bill one of his “greatest honors” but recently didn’t know what it was

Friday, President Biden signed legislation establishing Juneteenth, on June 19, as a national holiday.

Last year, Joe Biden Biden suggested Juneteenth has something to do with the 1921 massacre of Blacks in Tulsa.

It actually celebrates the emancipation of Black slaves, commemorating the day Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas and informed people the war was over the the slaves were free.

  1. Per my research, the event that Rebekah describes in her last paragraph above took place in 1865! I also learned that in 1979, Texas became the first state to make Juneteenth an official holiday; several others followed suit over the years. I think many people (including senile joe) think that it has something to do with the 1921 massacre of blacks in Tulsa , thanks mostly to the narrative the corrupt media and other far leftist extremist activists promoted.

    1. It was celebrated by Blacks in my small Southern.hometown when I was a child. Whites stayed home that day. No one objected. It was their day. I’m eighty -five.
      I’m glad it’s now a federal holiday.
Biden doesn’t know history….or much else for that matter!

  2. “Juneteenth” = YOU’RE WELCOME…from the Republicans and the Union Army who freed the remaining slaves from Democrat slave owners!
