In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Fauci: Le Science, c’est moi

Mr, Fauci needs to have a thicker skin. He chose to be a public official, no doubt enjoys being a grand authority, and needs to understand that criticism comes with the territory.

Instead, he chooses to attack his critics as anti-science because they disagree with him and they point out what they see as his inconsistencies.

“A lot of what you’re seeing as attacks on me, quite frankly, are attacks on science,” the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director told Meet the Press Daily on Wednesday. “If you are trying to get at me as a public health official and a scientist, you’re really attacking, not only Dr. Anthony Fauci, you’re attacking science. And anybody that looks at what’s going on clearly sees that.”

  1. Rebekah, perfect choice of words “Le science, c’est moi”! The earliest statement of this type that I am aware of was back in the 1600s when French King Louis XIV allegedly said “L’Etat, c’est moi”. The difference here is that with Louis XIV it was truth because Louis XIV had absolute power and therefore all France was embodied in Louis XIV. The same cannot be said of Fauci. Science is not embodied in one human being by the name of Fauci. It was presumptuous and inappropriate of him to say what he said.

  2. Typical lib. This is one of my pet peeves. As soon as they get the slightest criticism, they cry that they’re being “attacked”. Not surprised that this is Fauci’s response.

If there were anyone with a brain in this administration, Fauci would announce his very long overdue retirement three weeks from now on the eve of July 4th weekend (slow news period, few Americans paying attention). Even this administration should realize by now that Fauci has served his usefulness and he’s too much of a distraction at this point.

  3. The mask, no mask, vaccine, no immunity, immune, old, young, baby, only the sick, two masks, no mask at all, it works, doesn’t work, yes, no, maybe.

We heard it all and decided what we want to do. Vaccine or no, a personal choice.
Fauci can do as he pleases, so can I.
