Trump denies Gaetz sought a pardon from him

Donald Trump denied that embattled Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., ever asked him for a pardon.

“Congressman Matt Gaetz has never asked me for a pardon. It must also be remembered that he has totally denied the accusations against him,” Trump said in a statement.

Gaetz is reportedly being investigated for an alleged sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl that might have violated trafficking laws.

The New York Times reported in an article published Tuesday: “In the final weeks of Mr. Trump’s term, Mr. Gaetz sought something in return. He privately asked the White House for blanket pre-emptive pardons for himself and unidentified congressional allies for any crimes they may have committed, according to two people told of the discussions.”

It seems possible that, if this occurred, the matter was brought to Trump’s attorney but not to Trump, although the Times report says Trump was made aware.

    1. Haha, right, SRdem65…. since according to the NYTimes own investigative reporters all the $2.2 trillion Biden wants to spend is for infrastructure!

Also not a single word about Hunter and his laptop from them either!

If what Gaetz did is true and is found guilt he should be in a lot of trouble. However, funny the media still tries to tie Trump to everything.
