House to send impeachment article to Senate Monday

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said Friday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will convey the article of impeachment to the Senate Monday.

The rules for an impeachment trial say that the proceedings would have to begin the next day at 1:00 pm. But Schumer and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell are negotiating the timing of the trial.

Schumer dismissed suggestions that a trial of a former president might be unconstitutional.

“Make no mistake, a trial will be held in the United States Senate and there will be a vote whether to convict the president. I’ve spoken to Speaker Pelosi, who informed me that the articles will be delivered to the Senate on Monday,” Schumer said from the Senate floor.

  1. This is a travesty, an injustice of the highest order. This is man’s inhumanity to man at its worst. God be with President Trump that God give him courage, strength, wisdom and resilience to deal with this horrible, inhuman attack on him.

The “President”, Chucky Schmucky?? Oh, goody! I’m so looking forward to the impeachment trial of China Joe/Slow Joe/Faux Joe.
