This is pretty much the end. Get ready for President Joe Biden. The Electoral College meets Monday to elect him.
According to the Associated Press:
“The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a lawsuit backed by President Donald Trump to overturn Joe Biden’s election victory, ending a desperate attempt to get legal issues rejected by state and federal judges before the nation’s highest court.
“The court’s order was its second this week rebuffing Republican requests that it get involved in the 2020 election outcome. The justices turned away an appeal from Pennsylvania Republicans on Tuesday.
“Trump had called the lawsuit filed by Texas against Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin “the big one” that would end with the Supreme Court undoing Biden’s substantial Electoral College majority and allowing Trump to serve another four years in the White House.
“In a brief order, the court said Texas does not have the legal right to sue those states because it “has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections.”
“Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas, who have said previously the court does not have the authority to turn away lawsuits between states, said they would have heard Texas’ complaint. But they would not have done as Texas wanted pending resolution of the lawsuit, and set aside those four states’ 62 electoral votes for Biden.”

I lived in one — not inspiring, at all. But, we steal (error intended) have Georgia.
The Supreme Court is made up of cowards, good for nothing cowards.
They could have taken the case, followed the law, and told the legislatures to do their duty. It would have pissed off the likes of the student union at Berkeley, who have never been told No in their entire spoiled lives, and who would have had no idea how to respond.
Instead, they chose to reject the case, ignore the law, and implicitly rubber-stamp a result that a plurality of the citizenry views as fraudulent. They have, in so doing, pissed off the likes of the Three Percenters, who have been quietly preparing for a scenario just like this, and who know exactly how they will respond.
God help us all.
Keith, with no apparent way to hold anyone accountable for election fraud and numerous irregularities, what are we the people to do? Are we doomed? It’s hard to think otherwise. I don’t see how Republicans can ever win again now that cheating is the new norm.
Republicans definitely have a lot stacked up against them. The Democrats set it up brilliantly, using Covid as an excuse to regularize mail-in voting and other procedures to make it easier to cheat. And since they run all the big cities, that’s what they’ll do. Plus, we’ll probably find in about six months how much cheating there is, and the press will say, “Oh well, this is just terrible, but nothing we can do now.” Within four years murderers will be able to cast their vote on the internet from prison.
America as we know it will now be destroyed. The political hacks and their accomplices who carried out the shenanigans to steal the NOV 3 election must be laughing their butts off. They can now proceed unimpeded to steal the GA JAN 5 election. Schumer will take over the Senate and will, among other things, destroy the U S Supreme Court as we know it. Apparently the U S Supreme Court doesn’t care that, by their action today, the U S Supreme Court as we have always known it will no longer exist. Perhaps I may be wrong; perhaps the Senate will not be flipped. I certainly pray it will not. God help our country, if it is flipped, which I believe will now most likely happen.
I pray we keep the senate.

Something else is happening here: as a syndicated opinion writer I can’t get anything approved by my editors that even question the legitimacy of the election, the possibility that anything hinky happened is censored. Free speech is so dead you can’t say free speech is dead. -ML
