Lurch is back.
The latest glorious news out of the Biden transition is that John Kerry will return as special envoy for climate, or something.
That means he will be generally in charge of bankrupting U.S. businesses while allowing China and other up-and-coming polluters to get away with climate change murder.
But the big part of this is that he will sit on the National Security Council too. That means the former secretary of state will make all kinds of other mischief well beyond his portfolio.
According to Fox News:
“President-elect Joe Biden on Monday announced a number of key Cabinet appointments, including Antony Blinken as secretary of state, Alejandro Mayorkas as secretary of homeland security, and Avril Haines to serve as the first woman to lead the intelligence community, among other positions.
“Biden on Monday also announced former Secretary of State John Kerry as special presidential envoy for climate, and will sit on the National Security Council — the first time that the NSC will include an official dedicated to climate change. Kerry’s position is not a Cabinet post.
Biden also announced that Jake Sullivan will serve as White House national security adviser, making him one of the youngest people to serve in the role in decades; and Linda Thomas-Greenfield who will be nominated as United Nations ambassador, which will be a Cabinet position in the Biden administration.”
