In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Obama goes after Republicans for supporting Trump election challenge

Where was Barack Obama when Democrats were trying to delegitimize the result of the 2016 election? All that stuff was fine!

According to the Washington Examiner:

“Former President Barack Obama scolded Republican leaders for entertaining President Trump’s legal challenges to last week’s election.

“Trump has yet to concede to President-elect Joe Biden as he awaits the outcomes of lawsuits filed in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania over the results.

“‘They appear to be motivated, in part, because the president doesn’t like to lose and never admits loss,’ Obama told CBS News on Thursday. “I’m more troubled by the fact that other Republican officials, who clearly know better, are going along with this, are humoring him in this fashion.'”

“Obama described Republican kowtowing as delegitimatizing “not just the incoming Biden administration, but democracy generally.”

“‘And that’s a dangerous path,’ he said.”
