In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Kamala Harris is also in hiding

Does she have her own room in the basement?

According to the Washington Examiner:

Kamala Harris was widely thought to be a likely “attack dog” for Joe Biden.

The former prosecutor earned a reputation for rising to the moment during high-stakes situations, such as her grilling of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his 2018 confirmation hearing and even, awkwardly, when she confronted her now-running mate in the first round of Democratic primary debates last summer.

But the California senator has kept a conspicuously low-profile since Labor Day, declining to make news-shaping statements or upstage the two-term vice president and 2020 Democratic presidential nominee.

Her light footprint on the trail is starting to receive attention.

NBC News reporter Deepa Shivaram, for instance, called out Harris’s lack of media access this week in a tweet.

“A reminder that it has been 42 days since Harris was tapped as the VP pick. There are 42 days until election day. The senator has not once formally taken questions from the press,” Shivaram wrote Tuesday.

  1. Her rise to fame and high elected office is as mysterious as Barack Obama’s same path to national fame. Not exactly the perfect Dem, not really seen as a American citizen, and yet, there she is – iffy background, curious family dynamic.
Once a fierce prosecutor of criminals, she now is part of the anti-police mob, once a fierce attacker of everything Biden was or did, she is now his protector and his supporter.
Hiding? sure. It’s hard to make a mistake, hard to reveal her true self if she says nothing at all.
    curious.

    1. “…rise to fame and high elected office…” = Kamala slept with Mayor Willie Brown of San Francisco.
I DARE the ‘media’ to mention that -LOL

  2. They’re trying to limit access due to her inability to think on her feet — she’s terrible in unscripted situations, just like Biden.

Hopefully their strategy of running out the clock will fail…otherwise, God help us.

  3. My guess is that the Biden campaign (like the HRC campaign) is:
    1) Giddy with the poll results and why bother to do more;
    2) Worried that their candidate doesn’t have the stamina of Trump and doesn’t want that to become apparent.

    1. I think it’s #2 (plus the opposite of #1, as their internal polling probably doesn’t look good)…but, have no fear, they’re confident they’ll be able to cheat their way into the White House via lawsuits and other shenanigans.
