Trump: Supreme Court nominee to be announced Friday or Saturday

President Trump Monday told Fox and Friends that he will announce his pick for the Supreme Court lat this week.

“I think it’ll be on Friday or Saturday. And we want to pay respect. We, it looks like, it looks like we will have, probably, services on Thursday or Friday, as I understand it. I think in all due respect, we should wait until the services are over for Justice Ginsburg. And so we’re looking probably on Friday or maybe Saturday,” he said.

Of course, this also gives the White House time to make the best political calculation about whom to pick and when to run the process.

  1. I recall that President Obama responded to something during his administration that elections have consequences! You would think the world is ending how people are reacting. It is pretty pathetic.

I watched Mark Levin interview the President last night. Such a better format for him.

      1. It also helped that Mr. Levin was not conducting an out to get you interview. He also made it clear to the viewers that he is not a journalist.

  2. The prospect of an overlawyered recount, a la Florida 2000, on a national scale, to be adjudicated solely at the whim of John Roberts, is intolerable.

    Fill the seat, Mr. President.

  3. Another strategy would be to announce his nomination to be made on inauguration day and challenge Biden to do the same. Biden’s pick will either anger the progressives or alarm the moderates – and if he tries to dodge, Trump can easily portray him as being cowardly and wishy-washy.
