In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Twitter partially suspends Don Trump Jr. account over Hydroxychlorquine post

Twitter temporarily suspended part of Donald Trump Jr.’s account after he shared a video of doctors talking about hydroxychloroquine.

A couple of serious problems here.

People are so afraid to say Trump might have been right about hydroxychloroquine that they’d rather people die of Covid than let the drug be established as a treatment.

And secondly, Twitter, with its aching desire to stay politically correct and its leftist bias, is censoring legitimate speech. It is a monopoly and should suffer the consequences. It has too much power over the discourse.

In a statement, Trump Jr. spokesman Andrew Surabian said:

Twitter suspending Don Jr. for sharing a viral video of medical professionals discussing their views on Hydroxychloroquine is further proof that Big Tech is intent on killing free expression online and is another instance of them committing election interference to stifle Republican voices.

While there is indeed much disagreement in the medical community about the efficacy of Hydroxychloroquine in treating coronavirus, there have been studies reported on by ‘mainstream’ outlets like CNN, suggesting that it may in fact be an effective treatment. Those pretending otherwise are lying for political reasons.

  1. There are millions of conservatives who have been banned, shunned, refused access to any number of internet sites because they don’t follow “accepted” comments from the public.
We’d like to say “so what, go elsewhere” but the reality of today’s information river begins and ends on the internet.
    ot:
I don’t know if this drug is good or not, don’t know much of anything about how this virus spreads, kills, or what it takes to avoid it,

  2. Sadly, Trump spoke well of the hydrochloriquine path and now it is just dismissed.

When the dust settles — years later we will see that the deaths were so much more than could have been… I read so much — with an open mind — before Trump spoke out — and read the same things later… https://c19study.com — lots of studies show it works early and is not worth much later — some countries have used it and see the results.

I tell my kids that in the last century that communism/socialism killed upwards of 100 million people…

Squashing speech is a hallmark of that sort of totalitarianism
