In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Biden: Vice presidential choice is about administration that “looks like America”

Joe Biden spoke Monday about his vice presidential choice, suggesting it was effectively an affirmative action program.

“I am not committed to naming any but the people I’ve named, and among them, there are four black women,” Biden told MSNBC Monday. “It is important that my administration, I promise you, will look like America, from vice president, to Supreme Court, to Cabinet positions”

So, okay, how about choosing someone who looks like they can handle the job? Who looks like they are qualified? That would also look like America, IMO. And maybe, ensure that the right person is in the toughest and most important job in the world.

“When I get all the vetting done of all the candidates, then I’m going to narrow the list, and then I’m going to have personal discussions with each of the candidates who are left and make a decision,” he said.

He said the vetting of each candidate takes about six weeks. that process is being finished, and he is getting two-hour reports on each now. Then he will narrow the list and start meeting with them personally.

  1. Ability doesn’t count, only the fact the fact the person helps make a racial mix that “looks like America.”.
The selection is based on race. Isn’t that racist?

  2. I have no problem with a female and someone of color (male or female). The problem is I think we all know the potential 4 women of color and in my opinion – they aren’t ready to be President, which it is sounding more and more like that will be the case – I have doubts Mr. Biden would survive 4 years of working 24/7. It’s strange to me because the Trump Administration as well as prior Administrations have had diversity – female, male, ethnic, gay, etc. Too much is made of each of these categories. We should strive to have the best person for the job – I continue to hope that there is a huge silent majority. That doesn’t mean I always agree with the President or how he handles some things, but I truly believe he is for the little guy and is adamant about law and order which is quickly fading from our culture

  3. Sure. Pick a female of African descent solely because of her skin color, because , well let’s be honest here – the Dems have lost the Black vote they so desperately need.
The Dems have shown Hispanics who were once their main concern, that it’s Blacks they depend to put them over the top on election day.
White working class voters have scattered in the wind of racial riots and lootings that Dems seem to approve.
November will be a new , major watershed of voters changing the makeup of both political parties.

  4. Imagine if the US had a BLACK PRESIDENT…all these racial & social problems would be solved! or disappear!
I bet that BLACK US PRESIDENT could even win a Noble Peace Prize for all the good he would do! And the MSM would praise his every action to the high heavens! because He is a BLACK PRESIDENT!
Oh well…maybe a BLACK MAN will be elected US President someday :-|

  5. Soooo…He needs a woman/trans that is 60% Caucasian, 18% Hispanic, 13% African American, 6% Asian, 1% Native American…Ability & talent irrelevant. Elizabeth Warren!
