In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Revolution! John Kerry predicts Trump win could spark insurrection

Well, I imagine his head would come off as well as the rest of the nobility, if they can find him in Nantucket or wherever.

According to the Washington Examiner:

Former Secretary of State John Kerry raised the possibility that a victory by President Trump could provoke a revolution in the United States, claiming that Republicans have a history of denying voting rights to Democratic voters.

“If people don’t have adequate access to the ballot, I mean that’s the stuff on which revolutions are built,” Kerry said during a virtual appearance at the Copenhagen Democracy Summit. “If you begin to deny people the capacity of your democracy to work, even the Founding Fathers wrote in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, we have an inherent right to challenge that. And I’m worried that increasingly, people are disaffected.”

Kerry implied that such chicanery contributed to his defeat in 2004 and former Vice President Al Gore’s loss in 2000, maintaining that this pattern unfolded recently in Georgia — an apparent reference to Stacey Abrams’s defeat in the state’s 2018 gubernatorial race. That history, as he views it, undermines U.S. claims to Western leadership.

Still whining about 2004.

Thing is, he’s right. Not because there will be voter fraud, but because people like John Kerry will tell everyone there was.

  1. Insurrection. Revolution. Isn’t that what the current dissidents want for the US? It’s so confusing to us out here in fly-over country.

There is a common misconception among those who want to make radical change to our country and that’s the sheer size from coast to coast, border to border, and over the Pacific Ocean, and far out west.
300+million of us, spread from state to state , desert to mountain, swamps to forests.
We are not “Seattle”, “NYC”, “LA, or any other one location. The idea that a revolution would encompass every state is ridiculous and silly.
The elite Dems with public platforms fool themselves if they think they are speaking for all of us. .

  2. He should know about fraud. Not many can trade a couple of band aids for three Purple Hearts. He’s the very definition of ‘fraud’.
