White House Denies Trump Will Fire Fauci

The White House Monday sought to knock down speculation that President Trump will fire Dr. Anthony Fauci after Trump Sunday had retweeted a tweet calling for his dismissal.

“This media chatter is ridiculous — President Trump is not firing Dr. Fauci,” spokesman Hogan Gidley said.

But the talk that Trump might dump Fauci arose from this retweet Sunday night, just hours after Fauci said more lives could have been saved if the federal government had taken action against the coronavirus earlier.

Fauci essentially said Trump’s actions caused deaths. I don’t see how he stays much longer, unless he provides a fuller explanation of his remarks. Trump will not let it go.

  1. Fauci shouldn’t be doing these outside interviews (he appears to enjoy the attention, though)…the daily briefings are more than enough.

  2. Yea, Fauci will be D-U-N soon I feel…

And Pres Trump will ‘congratulate’ himself for firing Dr. Fauci at one those awful, hours long, nothing useful said, circus ‘daily briefings’
