In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

“I Needed That”: CNN’s Don Lemon Laughs to Tears as Guest Mock “Rube” Trump Voters

This is what is felt, and sometimes said, throughout Washington. If you doubt it, then ask, where is the outrage in Washington? Can you imagine if Bernie’s voters were mocked in this manner?

According to the Washington Examiner.

CNN hosts Don Lemon was joined by New York Times columnist and CNN contributor Wajahat Ali and GOP strategist Rick Wilson during his show Saturday night to discuss the recent feud between Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and NPR. Following an interview last week, Pompeo yelled at NPR reporter Mary Louise Kelly and demanded she locate Ukraine, the topic of the initial disagreement, on an unlabeled map.

Wilson pivoted the conversation to attack Trump supporters, claiming they wouldn’t be able to identify Ukraine.

“[Pompeo] also knows deep in his heart that Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter ‘U’ and a picture of an actual, physical crane next to it,” he stated, eliciting a laugh from Lemon. “He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world. And so, that’s partly him playing to their base and playing to their audience. You know, the credulous boomer rube demo that backs Donald Trump.”

“‘You elitists with your geography and your maps — and your spelling!'” Ali chimed in, while his fellow guest added, “‘Your math and your reading! All those lines on the map!'”

  1. Here’s the thing guys like these jerks don’t understand – us little people, the redneck boomers, the smelly Walmart shoppers and so on, don’t have to impress anyone with who we are, or how smart we are.
The 10 people trapped in the airport who didn’t have anything else to do but stare at the TV really didn’t care what they said, probably didn’t know who they are or why they were laughing.

  2. They still don’t get it…and never will.

On the bright side, they’re basically just preaching to their own tiny little choir – similar to a public access channel in my book.

  3. I always try to remember to not under estimate an opponent. In politics, in athletics, in most any competitive endeavor.

These three people do not seem to share my mindset.

    1. They don’t share anything with us, they don’t mean anything to us, when they die no one will mourn them. If they were stuck to the bottom of my boot, I wouldn’t hesitate to scrape them off.

  4. “Basket of deplorables” 2020.

Whoever the Democrats nominate, is GOING to have to answer for that. They can either disown CNN’s braying jackassery, or they can own it for themselves.

If CNN hosts a debate, and Lemon is teaming up with the Democrat moderating it, I would expect Trump to call him out on this, to his face.

Think of it as the anti-Crowley moment (“See, Mitt, now this is how you should have responded back in 2012…”)

  5. This kind of crap is why the Republicans need to go scorched earth on the Dems if witnesses are called. Need to make it clear that this is entirely partisan and a farce.
