Trump Senate Impeachment Trial to Begin Tuesday

Looks like Pelosi is finally going to allow Adam Schiff to walk the articles of impeachment across the Capitol, a sober, serious, somber and . . . deeply partisan affair that will occur Wednesday.

There’s a lot still unknown, including how long the trial will last, whether witnesses will be called, and if so, which ones.

What is known is that Trump is that there are not enough Republicans who would agree to an immediate dismissal, and so the trial will proceed. Also known is that Trump will not be convicted, and that Democrats will finally have gotten their half a pound of flesh, which they’ve been seeking since he was elected.
