In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Beto Once Again Earns the Gratitude of the Republican Party

Desperate presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke is the gift that won’t stop giving to Republicans.

After promising to confiscate military-style semi-automatic rifles like our AR-15s, Thursday night he continued to reveal the left’s true colors with a vow to deny funding for religious institutions that oppose same sex marriage.

How about religious institutions that oppose atheism? I mean, isn’t that discriminatory?

Beto is a one-man GOP Get Out the Vote machine.

From last nights CNN LGBTQ Town Hall:

QUESTION: Do you think religious institutions like colleges, churches, charities, should they lose their tax exempt status if they oppose same sex marriage?”

BETO: Yes . . . There can be no reward, no benefit, no tax break for anyone or any institution, any organization in America, that denies the full human rights and the full civil rights of every single one of us. So as president, we’re going to make that a priority, and we are going to stop those who are infringing upon the human rights of our fellow Americans.”

  1. Pops up at random to make a nuisance of himself, impossible to get rid of, and jokingly referred to as “the gift that keeps on giving”…

I seem to have heard that about something else, but I can’t remember exactly what.

    1. Robert Francis ran against Cruz on the premise of “Orange Man Bad”. He really didn’t say much during that campaign. Now Texas really knows what a nutcase he is. Hopefully he has trashed his political career.

    2. And isn’t this a scary sign? That people really don’t need to understand a candidate’s position in order the give their support. They are choosing emotionally and “like” Beto, AOC, etc., more than the other candidate’s personality or style — so they choose the unknown. This is part of how Obama got elected. He spent his career voting “present’ so there would be no record of his beliefs to hold against him. He won on style — Beto, too — and as long as we have comfortably ignorant voters, such candidates will win in vulnerable elections.

    who is ‘we’?

  3. No Christian church should accept ‘tax exemption’ that would obligate it to comply with the antiChrist laws of the land in its preaching & teaching & conduct.
