Trump: Comey the Most “Thoroughly Disgraced and Excoriated” Person in U.S. History

Well, he might be going a little far.

President Trump Thursday attacked former FBI Director James Comey after the release of an inspector general’s report that accused Comey of failing to follow FBI rules.

The report concluded that Comey “failed to live up to this responsibility. By not safeguarding sensitive information obtained during the course of his FBI employment, and by using it to create public pressure for official action, Comey set a dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees — and the many thousands more former FBI employees — who similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information.”

      • Yes I do LS.
From back in the days when those that betrayed their country were dealt with finality.
No profiting from their betrayal by writing and selling books.

  1. Unless Comey gets the same “justice” afforded the likes of Manafort and Papadopoulos, this is all more kabuki theater, a shaggy dog joke for the news reading set.

  2. We all know that President Trump has a tendency to use broad terms. That being said, it is appalling what Comey did and he thinks he bears no responsibility for the last few years and expects an apology. I feel awful for all the good FBI agents, current and past. What a joke. I felt the same way when they disparaged Secret Service agents because of the actions of a few. Sadly, Mr. Comey will land on his feet in a high income job and will never have to look back on his actions. It’s no wonder citizens start to lose faith in our government.

  3. After he’s sworn in for his second term, MrTrump should take on the task of tearing down the J.EdgarHoover building , brick by brick, until every rat traitor scurries back to the sewer they came from and where they belong.

Today’s FBI is tainted, almost obsolete, and full of pension seekers who can’t seem to stem the flow of state to state drugs, sex slaves, or stolen merchandise. Their once esteemed forensics are now duplicated by most state agencies, their formerly exceptional powers of investigation are limited by the advance of technical devices, and years of political interference has poisoned their ability to be effective.

Our country is awash in illegal drugs brought across our borders and transported by trucks, cars, even the US Mail and the FBI does nothing. Gangs like MS-13 pop up in multiple states to do things that the old Mafia would never do and the FBI does nothing.
Illegal aliens lie about their credentials to get government goodies or jobs and the FBI does nothing.
All of this is my opinion.

    • Very well said, and I agree. The FBI is worse than useless. I would like to see it disbanded, and all employees prohibited from ever working in law enforcement or in any federal capacity ever again.

I no longer believe there are any “good” people left in the FBI. I imagine that, like what Holder did in the Justice Dept, all the good people were run off from the FBI during the Obama years.

      • I’ve got a brother-in-law who is finishing up his career as an agent out in the middle of the US. He and his cohorts are really trying to catch criminals and help other agencies in the low-populated states around here that don’t have the expertise. They are not happy with the way their reputation has been tarnished, but they still go about their jobs. Maybe the DC office needs to go, but the rank and file out there are still the professionals they were 20 years ago.
