In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

President Trump today yet again expressed the frustrations many conservatives have with John McCain.

“I’m very unhappy that he didn’t repeal and replace Obamacare, as you know. He campaigned on repealing and replacing Obamacare for years and then they got to a vote and he said thumbs down,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office during a meeting with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

“So he campaigned, he told us hours before that he was going to repeal and replace. Then, for some reason — I think I understand the reason — he ended up going thumbs up,” he said, apparently meaning to say “thumbs down.”

  1. McCain and Flake, a twosome that disappointed and outraged the people who believed them.
If McCain had not been seriously ill, he would have received the same treatment that the Arizona voters handed to Flake.

  2. Being (supposedly) angelic in one part of your life does not give you a pass on being a satanic creature for another. I’m skipping the first part (where I am supposed to say something nice about the dead man)….. As a politician, McCain was a self-serving, egotistical douche-nozzle.

Sorry if I offended anyone —- not sure if that should have a dash or if it is one word. Sorry.

  3. You know where you stand with President Trump, not much ambiguity. Which is refreshing.

And, in my opinion, he has a point about McCain and his actions.

    1. I prefer to know where I stand. McCain was a horrible person. I don’t care if he was a POW. It appears he cost a lot of people their lives in the military. A real dishonest person from the get go. (I’m sure much of that has been scrubbed from the internet now)

  4. The more I learn about McCain, the more I despise him. He truly lacked a conscience. McCain’s sanctimonious lectures about reaching across the aisle, always ended with us, We the People getting screwed.
