As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

Video || Kamala Harris: If You Like Your Insurance, You Can’t Keep It

Well at least Democrats are telling us the truth this time about what they actually want: universal, free health care.

And as we all know – or at least, as conservatives know – nothing is for free. Harris actually has the nerve to talk about how her idea will reduce wait times because you won’t have to deal with insurers’ bureaucracies. Of course not! You’ll have to deal with the government bureaucracy.

Not to mention the rationing of a product that is given at no cost. You’ll either have to be rich and pay for private “concierge” doctors’ services or you will wait to be seen. And wait, and wait.

Just don’t die waiting, and you’ll be fine.

  1. Ppl who will be able to pay for a doctor under the table will not miss a beat. The rest of us, get in line and wait. Plus I’m sure doctors that will be on the government price control plan will be at the top of their class. No drop off in quality of care at all.

    • If doctors start quitting, we’ll need to draft top high school students and give them the choice of medical school or enlisting as privates in the army. That will allow us to keep the cost of doctors down, but still have enough.

  2. I have been on Medicare for almost twenty years. Whatever does she mean about not dealing with insurance companies? Doesn’t she know about required supplemental and drug coverage? A quite costly proposition!

  3. Kamala Harris and her socialist ilk have ALWAYS used the promise of a Utopian America (“free” health care, free college, everyone dancing around the Maypole singing “This land is your land, this land is my land” to peddle their poison). It’s been going on for 100 years since Progressivism and Marxism were embraced by the Left.

And yet, there are some in every generation who fall for this path to destruction. Now we have corporate media, high schools and colleges hysterically selling this nonsense to readers and students, in spite of the fact that it has been the path to social collapse and failure every single time it’s been implemented. And, of course, anyone who raises serious problematic issues with “free stuff” gets labelled as a deplorable person.

    • I may be pessimistic, but I think they are gaining momentum with their socialism. And I agree 100%, it just doesn’t work. Never has, never will.

Trouble is, our idiocracy is getting more and more idiotic, and people are falling for that crap. I’m glad I don’t have children, I would be terrified for them.

      • The scary thing is the millennials who are the largest voting block have swallowed this Cultural Marxism and socialism hook, line, and sinker.

      • They may well be gaining momentum in our era. Most media outlets promote the Leftist agenda, many high schools and universities peddle it non-stop….all that momentum, so to speak, coupled with the idea that those who reject this Utopian nonsense are labelled as cultural heretics, and even dangerous, and who must be punished in some way, show us how far along this madness has progressed.

Yet, I am not altogether pessimistic for the future. I strongly believe in historical cycles and patterns and we can see them repeated throughout history. We may find our way back to sanity, but it will take awhile, another generation or two, if we survive that long.

        • And…. while wishing no ill will on any individual, it is possible that Trump will have the opportunity to place on the Supreme Court one or more individuals that could protect the constitutional republic for 20+ years.

As long as appropriate Secret Service-type protection is in place for the members of the Court……

          • Indeed. I suspect that, given the current political climate, the Secret Service, the FBI and assorted other agencies are pretty much on high alert all the time, ferreting out the crazies roaming the country looking for their “moment”.

  4. “Medicare for all” is always promoted by those who aren’t in the Medicare program.
Years ago, Medicare meant top-notch health care for seniors, but over the years the government has pushed harder and harder to clamp down on claims and services.

Most young people think Medicare is Medicaid for the elderly – free and always available. Nothing could be further than the truth.

    • Just like the odious insurance companies, the government has an allowable rate for every procedure. The doc can charge $100.00 for an office visit and their allowed amount can be as little as $20.00 payable to the doc who has office staff and medical instruments to pay for, leaving the doc in poverty from working & being a government employee.

    • Good point! Members of Congress get free health care through the “Office of the Attending Physician.” This link explains the sordid details.

Also – Medicare can change what they cover. And physicians are not required to accept Medicare. However some states are are considering requiring doctors to accept Medicare and Medicaid as a condition to be licensed to practice medicine.

  5. “How many more examples do people need that the false promises of socialism – really just a pitch to the poor in order to enable a power grab by a few – brings only poverty and strife?”

  6. It’s hard to take ‘good health’ seriously when all around us is the promise of scarcity & death through forced ‘compassion’ from the ‘people’s party’.
