In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

  1. Rex Tillerson, former US Secretary of State hand-selected by Trump, spoke at a fundraiser this week and this is what he had to say:

“What Russia wants to do is undermine our confidence and undermine the world’s confidence in us,” Tillerson said.

Describing Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “very calculating” and “very opportunistic” leader, Tillerson said Putin’s strategy is to undermine the U.S. influence around the globe.”

“So often, the president would say here’s what I want to do and here’s how I want to do it and I would have to say to him, Mr. President I understand what you want to do but you can’t do it that way. It violates the law,” Tillerson said.

He goes on to say that Trump is “pretty undisciplined, doesn’t like to read, doesn’t read briefing rpts”

    There you have it folks…

I agree Russia is a big trouble maker.

President of Venezuela Maduro visited Putin this week. Russia does not plan on collecting $8.8 of credits Venezuela.owes them. Russia has pre paid $6 billion for Venezuelan crude oil. Venezuela has mortgaged 49.50% of Citgo to Russia. Venezuela’s allies are China, Russia, India and Turkey. President/dictator Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua is very close to Russia too. He has bought tanks, leaky buses, and Lada cars (great heaters, no a/c) from Russia. Russia also has a satellite spy facility in Nicaragua.

    2. Jumbo Shrimp….oxymoron… Briefing Reports…the same.

I would not read that stuff either… as an exec I would be looking for summary…..

Yes.. he is undisciplined….. so now it is a crime? Clinton can’t keep his pants on in the Oval Office, Obama can’t stay off the golf course, Bush can’t stay off the ranch…. and Kennedy couldn’t stay off the help…and I could go on and on…..

What are the outcomes? So far.. record economy, less govt interference in my life, etc…

Give me more undisciplined behavior please

      1. Rex Tillerson turned out to be a screw up, and Trump had to let him go.

        Examples:

“Rex Tillerson is skipping Israel on a massive tour of the Middle East, and it’s looking more and more like a mistake”

        And many more examples.

  2. He spoke at a fundraiser, for who or what?
Sounds like sour grapes from someone who thought he should run the whole thing, not the POTUS.
IMO, MrTrump, and most of his supporters, doesn’t give a rat’s behind what other countries think of us. As for Russia – a paper tiger with big guns up front and peasants plowing the fields in the rear.
The biggest fear of most of the world is that the United States of America withdraws it’s money, military support, and fair trade from everyone and goes it alone.
The snowflake Euro nations can’t or won’t raise a military sufficient to protect themselves from Russian aggression. Without us, without our money and support, Europe is a low-hanging fruit available for any country wanting to expand their borders.
    IMO, of course.

  3. I seem to recall the same complaints were made about President Obama. That he started the day late, didn’t appear to be interested in reading reports, etc. It is all tiresome.
