In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Hirono: Democrats are So Smart They’re Having Trouble With Voters

First of all, based on what I’ve seen, Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, might not be the exact person to be talking about how smart Democrats are.

But even if she has hidden stores of genius I haven’t noticed, it is so typical of Democrats to condescend to Americans by suggesting basically that they are being too intellectual for them.

In fact, it’s been my experience that Democrats are far more likely to emote while Republicans are left explaining the facts, such as that all these wonderful government programs may help a bit in the short run but ultimately create dependency and bankrupt the country.

Hirono spoke during a conference in Washington Tuesday:

One of the things that we, Democrats, have a really hard time is connecting to people’s hearts instead of [their heads],” Hirono said. “We’re really good at shoving out all the information that touch people here [pointing to her head] but not here [pointing to her heart].

But we have a really hard time doing that and one of the reasons– it was told to me at one of our retreats– was that we Democrats know so much, that is true. And we have kind of have to tell everyone how smart we are and so we have a tendency to be very left brain.

  1. One of the reasons the Dems don’t connect with the voters is their preference for non-English speaking or un-educated people.
The moderator in the video thinks people need to be informed on why “courts matter”. For a lot of Dems, the only court they care about is the one where they’re standing in front of a Judge waiting to hear what their future will be.

  2. I for one am glad I’m so dumb and ignorant I can’t comprehend the intelligence of their ways. I will go on being blissfully stupid in my unwavering belief in God, my guns, and everything non Democrat.

  3. Keith, you nailed it. Hirono exemplifies the self delusion the fanatic Democrats enjoy as they attempt to explain themselves and their bizarre, destructive policies to the American people.

  4. “And we have kind of have to tell everyone how smart we are and so we have a tendency to be very left brain.”

Truly smart people don’t have to go around telling everybody how smart they are.

  5. This is a good sign… Trying to find a way to feel good about the situation….. the sign that they are beat… and will now go off to the elitist spot, dine at the elitist trough, and just call us too stupid to deal with. Whatever. Just. Go. Away!

  6. I’ll believe they’re smart when they explain, to my personal satisfaction, how I’m supposed to benefit, as an individual, from mass illegal immigration.

Oh, I know what they get out of it: millions of welfare-slave votes for Democrats, and millions of dollars in savings on slave-labor costs for the chamber-of-commerce wing of the GOP.

The former costs me more in taxes; the latter costs me more in depressed earnings. Now add in the public health risks, the increases in gang-related crime, and the national security risks from foreign-born terrorists sneaking in along with the cheap labor and easy votes.

I’m supposed to benefit from this arrangement…how, exactly?
