Kavanaugh Smear Even Loses Morning Joe

Temporary sanity broke out Friday morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe as the hosts derided Democratic leaks that a letter exists suggesting Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh did something wrong to a girl during high school, 25 years ago.

“This looks like a cheap last-minute trick by Democrats – whether you’re for Kavanaugh or not,” said host Joe Scarborough.

At this point, the insinuation qualifies as a smear because we don’t know exactly what Kavanaugh is even accused of.

Let’s think about this. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., announces she has a letter that says something terrible about Kavanaugh and that she’s referring it to the FBI. But the person who gave her the letter doesn’t want to be identified or talk publicly about it. I mean, honestly, how convenient.

There are several senators, including Republicans Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, who are in the process of making an agonizing political decision about whether to back Kavanaugh. Collins and Murkowski are both reportedly under pressure from home to oppose him. This is just the type of thing that makes it more difficult to get to “yes,” and that could land you at “no,” just to be safe, and Democrats, of course, know it.

    • We’ve seen this kind of behavior by the Dems before. Remember Herman Cain and all the women that suddenly remembered he had “assaulted” them in some way, but when he no longer posed a threat, they disappeared and we heard no more about them. Diane is just one Democrat who should be investigated, for her Chinese spy. If Republicans were smart (and actually supported President Trump), they would launch their own investigation and hand her her very own October surprise!

  1. CuppaJoe, it’s a little late in the game for you to feign sanity. My guess is you know this is such a ludicrous attempt that is doomed to failure that you will use this as a way to seem reasonable and not a foam at the mouth liberal….which you are.

  2. A source who said they were briefed on the contents of the letter said it described an incident involving Kavanaugh and a woman that took place when both were 17 years old and at a party. According to the source, Kavanaugh and a male friend had locked her in a room against her will, making her feel threatened, but she was able to get out of the room.

  3. It’s a crock and she knew it. Why else did she sit on the information and not ask any questions during the hearing, turn it over to the correc5 law enforcement agency? The FBI for once had enough sense to say uh no.
