As of now, I am in control here, in the White House

FBI Reviewed Only 3,000 of Weiner’s 700,000 Emails; Strzok Supervised

According to RealClearIvestigations:

When then-FBI Director James Comey announced he was closing the Hillary Clinton email investigation for a second time just days before the 2016 election, he certified to Congress that his agency had “reviewed all of the communications” discovered on a personal laptop used by Clinton’s closest aide, Huma Abedin, and her husband, Anthony Weiner.

At the time, many wondered how investigators managed over the course of one week to read the “hundreds of thousands” of emails residing on the machine, which had been a focus of a sex-crimes investigation of Weiner, a former Congressman.

Comey later told Congress that “thanks to the wizardry of our technology,” the FBI was able to eliminate the vast majority of messages as “duplicates” of emails they’d previously seen. Tireless agents, he claimed, then worked “night after night after night” to scrutinize the remaining material.

But virtually none of his account was true, a growing body of evidence reveals.

In fact, a technical glitch prevented FBI technicians from accurately comparing the new emails with the old emails. Only 3,077 of the 694,000 emails were directly reviewed for classified or incriminating information. Three FBI officials completed that work in a single 12-hour spurt the day before Comey again cleared Clinton of criminal charges.

But don’t worry, everything was being handled by the agent in charge . . . Peter Strzok.

Although the FBI’s New York office first pointed headquarters to the large new volume of evidence on Sept. 28, 2016, supervising agent Peter Strzok, who was fired on Aug. 10 for sending anti-Trump texts and other misconduct, did not try to obtain a warrant to search the huge cache of emails until Oct. 30, 2016. Violating department policy, he edited the warrant affidavit on his home email account, bypassing the FBI system for recording such government business. He also began drafting a second exoneration statement before conducting the search.

As former House Oversgith Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz suggests in the video below, does this not indicate Comey committed perjury?

  1. IMO, it wasn’t how many were reviewed or even how many in total were on Weiner’s laptop, but that they were there in the first place.
Why did his wife forward all these classified and/or State department emails to her personal computer at all?
There had to be a reason to give her personal access to this material.

  2. It doesn’t get any more appalling than this, yet this bit of news coming out will be topped by the next bit coming out soon. Getting real sick of this flying
monkey BS created by the dimtard party and never Trumpers.

  3. So it takes what, less than 6 months to get Manafort and Cohen indicted and tried but THIS goes on with nothing happening, or nothing appearing to happen (I hope) two years?

  4. It is very very important that Hillary, Comey, McCabe, Strozk and other partisans be made an example of and prosecuted to the fullest extent.

If that does not happen then the partisan bias and asymmetric rules that apply to republicans but not to elite democrats will continue.

Lois Lerner did not pay a price for politicizing the IRS. It is important that these other corrupt Obama partisans do…

The thought of Comey and others in FBI inner circle celebrating by watching Sunday Night Football in the office 2 days before the election because they thought their cheating and thumbs on the scale worked (a second time) just totally nauseates me

    • According to Kathleen Parker, Obama’s favorite philosopher is Reinhold Niebuhr, which happens to be the same name tweeted under by James Comey.

  5. Saint Comey lied? Under oath? Again? Say it ain’t so. SMDH…

President Trump: please just declassify all of it related to the various accusations against YOU. Yes, that would tank Mueller and his 17 dirty dems and likely any real investigations being carried out {finally] by DoJ on the STILL unindicted career criminal, HDRC…but we know she’d never be convicted anyway so…SUNLIGHT. Let it in and let your/our enemies choose what is exposed. Base it on what they have chosen to attack you with…oops…that’s pretty much everything.
    Oh, well..

    • Here’s a tidbit I just came across in an old Pulitzer Prize winning piece by Kathleen Parker, slathering praise on Obama (that kind of stuff tends to please the Pulitzer committee): “Obama didn’t mention his favorite philosopher, Reinhold Niebuhr”

Fun Fact: Reinhold Niebuhr is the name Jim Comey tweeted under for some time.

  6. The sad truth is that the DOJ itself needs to be investigated and cleaned out. The trouble likely lies in middle and upper management. Particularly in DC, where politics trumps all.
