Where is all the talk about the need for civil discourse? Nowhere, because liberals never, ever wanted civil discourse, they merely sought to silence conservatives.
Now, you have Sarah Sander getting thrown out of a restaurant, Stephen Miller harassed while eating out, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen being shouted down while she was trying get in a meal, and most recently, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi getting harassed and threatened while attending amoving. About Mr. Rogers.
Rep. Maxine Waters thinks this is great, and Democratic leaders are either afraid to confront her or — they agree with her.
According to Auntie Maxine:
Already you have members of your cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants. We have protesters taking up at their house who are saying, “No peace, no sleep. No peace, no sleep.”
Waters echoed the same language in an MSNBC interview later that day.
“We’re gonna win this battle. Because while you try and quote the Bible, Jeff Sessions and others, you really don’t know the Bible. God is on our side. On the side of the children. On the side of what’s right. On the side of what’s honorable. On the side of understanding that if we can’t protect the children, we can’t protect anybody.”
Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. You push back on them. Tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere!
Imagine the outrage in the media and elsewhere if a prominent Republican politician suggested that God was on the side of conservatives. I mean, just for that! Let alone basically calling for riots.
Here is Bondi talking about what was nearly an assault against her.
