In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

  1. This is the biggie, the ultimate sign that MrTrump won’t be pushed, bullied, enticed, or threatened into giving the Dems what they want.
If he can hold solid, hold true, he wins. If he caves, bends, gives up, he might as well go golfing the rest of his term.

  2. The last I read President Trump suggested going nuclear if the shutdown last much longer. Also, DACA will not be discussed during the shutdown. President Trump wants a long term solution, not a short term fix. . McConnell is opposed to the nuclear option. Dem. Rep. Menendez expressed he is willing to comprise. He is in the House. The roadblock is in the Senate. I hope President Trump continues to dig in his heels. I hope the Republicans continue every chance they can and refer to this as “Schumer’s Shutdown” which it is.

  3. If the FISA memo comes out, and if it’s as bad for the Dems as the Republicans who have seen it say it is, I think the Dems cave and the shutdown stops in a hurry.

    1. I’ve been hearing so much about that memo…based on all the hype, it better come out soon and there better be consequences. No one should be “reassigned” or “retiring”…they should be fired and indicted.

    2. There’s so much backroom maneuvering and noise and hair pulling going on about the release of the FISA memo that we get the impression that whatever is in that memo is big, REALLY big, and there seems to be a possibility that heads could roll. But then, who knows? Just release the dad-gummed thing and let the chips fall where they may.
