In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

  1. The way CNN reported it was Trump is travelling this week-end and he is not going to a property with his name on it. He is going to Camp David. They never miss an opportunity to blast him.

    1. I’m old enough to remember sitting with my family listening via our radio to the Joe McCarthy hearings in the early 1950’s. I remember McCarthy accusing politicians and many others of being Communists, having Communist sympathies, having direct secret ties to the Soviet Union, of being disloyal to the United States, or of having committed various and unusual sex crimes.

      Sound familiar? And here we are in 2018, listening and watching fanatical Democrats and corporate media imitating McCarthy (a Republican) in every way as they attack Trump and his associates in exactly the same manner with essentially the same charges (having direct secret ties to the Soviet Union, of being disloyal to the United States, or of having committed various and unusual sex crimes) The Democrats are doing exactly what they were so upset about McCarthy doing.

      So we are reminded of what we learn from Ecclesiastes 1:9 written thousands of years ago:

      “What has been will be again,
      what has been done will be done again;
      there is nothing new under the sun.”

      Indeed, there is nothing new under the sun.

  2. Any ‘author’ who brags about inaccuracies in his nonfiction book is of an alien mind-set as are those who would keep said slanderer in business by paying top dollar for & reading his published detritus.

    1. The questions I ask about this book are: who was involved in the conception/preparation/writing/promotion of the book? Who benefits, politically, from the book? I mean, let’s have their names. Who developed the editorial formula for the book? Who really wrote the book? What political interests gave the final approval for the book? What’s the money trail for the book, i.e. what was the flow for all monies associated with the book? And, finally, how much money did the Clinton Foundation contribute to the project of writing, publishing and distribution of the book.
