Bannon Sticks With Trump Despite President’s Attack

Steve Bannon decided to take the high road for now in the face of President Trump’s comments that he had “lost his mind” and was dead to him, knowing that Trump remains popular with the base and could re-embrace Bannon at any moment, as he has others with whom he’s fought.

“The President of the United States is a great man,” he said Wednesday night. “You know, I support him day in and day out.”

Bannon is playing it cool, seeing how the president’s view of him evolves and no doubt watching to see if Trump starts committing apostasies against the populist-nationalist ideology that elected him.

    Not buying it.
This whole thing stinks to high heaven, all of it.
