In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Congress Warned: North Korean EMP Attack Could Kill 90% Of U.S.

Thanks, President Obama. Your cool, rational, visionary leadership has left us susceptible to destruction by a madman.

At the end of your presidency, which I knew would end up a catastrophe for the nation –  because you were totally unqualified, didn’t understand economics or foreign policy, and had lots of bad left-wing ideas – I thought, Well, at least it wasn’t the end of things. Now, I’m not so sure.

According to Paul Bedard in the Washington Examiner:

Congress was warned Thursday that North Korea is capable of attacking the U.S. today with a nuclear EMP bomb that could indefinitely shut down the electric power grid and kill 90 percent of “all Americans” within a year.

At a House hearing, experts said that North Korea could easily employ the “doomsday scenario” to turn parts of the U.S. to ashes.

William R. Graham, chairman of the former EMP commission and its former chief of staff, Peter Vincent Pry, said that the U.S. has ignored the warning signs for years and that North Korea’s military moves this year must be seen as a wake-up call.

After massive intelligence failures grossly underestimating North Korea’s long-range missile capabilities, number of nuclear weapons, warhead miniaturization, and proximity to an H-Bomb, the biggest North Korean threat to the U.S. remains unacknowledged—nuclear EMP attack.

Oh well, stock up on canned ravioli, buy thousands of extra rounds, and chop some firewood. That’s the best I can do for you.

  1. Read the novel “One Second After” by William R. Forstchen if you want to see how an EMP attack would shut down the USA…I read it and was terrified…

  2. Had a second reading of William R. Forstchen’s novel “One Second After” Then William’s second novel follow up “One Year After.” Not for wimps or babies. And if you want to sleep at night do not read these at bedtime. Extremely plausible. EMP = no electricity for ever. The modern culture will be unable to cope. And the old dudes that can, are just that old.

  3. If anyone wants to get scared, just check out the fire damage in Santa Rosa, CA and vicinity.
The houses didn’t just burn, they disintegrated into ashes, nothing was left standing. Nothing.
No visible metal items such as dishwasher, dryers, bathtubs, nothing.
This isn’t the usual wildfire, not at all.
The shrubbery and trees are singed in some places, but not destroyed.
This is weird. Scary. What kind of fire is it?

    1. Extremely hot fire enabled by the rainy spring growth that is now dry & ready to burn hot. I saw the same in 1970’s California, as a scared kid.

  5. This ranks as one of the dumbest articles I have read and the hate for Trump is way over the top. Of course Hillary would have handled it different by demanding money for one of her accounts, if she could remember were Korea was. Trump likely knows more about Korea than most other leaders. When you drive into Seoul there are two hughe buildings with the name Trump on top. This I am sure he knows Korea. Besides, Kim will be dead in a few months.
