In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

  1. In a way, he is already there. Just like most of America, but not in the way the Dems would like.
Who doesn’t want to feed the hungry, care for the sick, educate all the children, fresh air/clean water, and so much more that could be described as only left-y Dem wants, but most of us believe the same.
The difference is how all this comes to pass, how it’s achieved.
The government can’t wipe out jobs to accommodate radical ideas of what life should be, nor can they insist that we care for those who could (and should) care for themselves.
We get why illegal aliens risk everything to live here in America, we do. We just ask that they do it legally, the right way.
Our doors are locked, just require a polite knock, so to speak.
Anyway, if the Dems weren’t so doggone radical, we would all be better off.

  2. President Trump understands that the Republican Congressional Leadership will do EVERYTHING they can to thwart him. And there are many things he needs to get through Congress to make progress. Why shouldn’t he work with the Democrats instead to get the best deal he can? Or have you forgotten how we got where we are today? The Left starts by demanding more than they can possibly get, then negotiate back to something less. As soon as that law is signed, they then start demanding AGAIN. And incrementally, we get where we are now. Why are all the alleged “Conservatives” so opposed to using their very tactics against them???
