In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

  1. I wake up this morning to see Chucky Schumer at it again:

Again with the Russia, Russia, Russia.

Here’s what I don’t get. From what I’ve seen and read the ONLY thing we do know for sure is:

    1. No federal agency, (CIA, NSA, FBI et al) has any direct evidence the Russians hacked the DNC because the DNC denied them access. We have only the word of a 3rd party.

    2. Yes, lil Johnny Podesta fell for a phishing scam and got his emails dumped out all over the internet but that’s hardly a reason to go to DEFCON 1

    3. Other than the two things above the only thing left is “Well we have proof that the Russian’s spread “fake news” across social media. Well whoopty, dippity, do. Russians spreading propaganda, imagine that!

    4. And that whole “17 intelligence agencies” crap has now been blown out of the water as well. Near as I can tell it was CIA, FBI, NSA and DNI only and THAT all based upon 1,2,and 3.

A CIA, FBI, NSA that Trump has rightly stated has been wrong before and that at least one (NSA) has software to point the finger on its intrusions to anyone it wishes.

The U.S. has been “meddling” in other countries elections and politics since the end of WWII. Even our own allies (Israel) are not spared our meddling when a lefty is in the White House.

All this faux media outrage that we can’t work with Putin because he attacked our sovereignty? Please. How many of those same politicians and “reporters” are carrying around an iphone made in the very same China that stole 50 million personnel records and background check info of U.S. citizens. Now THAT is an attack on sovereignty.

If I’m missing something, please, please oh wise and all knowing denizens of WHD help me out. We’re now almost a year into this fiasco and it’s long past time we, the sane America start standing up and shouting: ENOUGH!

Rant over. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

    1. Ranting is good. Every point is on the mark.
The Dems needed a explanation of why they lost to MrTrump, other than Hillary.
They needed to convince their donors and supporters that she really won, but it was stolen from her, not that the other half of America doesn’t like their agenda.
The Dems know they lost most legislative positions throughout the US, but hoped for a continuing Obama-like Presidency where laws are ignored and E.O.s are presented as constitutional law.

Russia became the scapegoat. Even the Repubs who feared a strong Trump were happy to play along.
We know now that most of Congress was briefed months ago that the Russians didn’t affect our election and that MrTrump has no connection to Putin, but preferred to continue the farce to hogtie the Trump agenda.

  2. You nailed it all. The Lefties and the Demolishcrats are stuck on their own out-of-control merry-go-round–the Russia thing–and are insisting on making it go faster and faster. The reaction of those of us who are watching them isn’t, “WOW, look at how fast that swell merry-go-round can spin”, but rather, “Wow, look at how many people were too dumb to get off that out-of-control merry-go-round before they couldn’t hang on any longer and were thrown off and slamed against the wall.”

The questions to ask, as we watch these Lefty, strange Democrats insist on destroying themselves, politically, include:

    1. Who is currently coordinating their insane, suicidal public behavior? Is it an organization? Some backroom political group? A cabal of international money and power brokers? Blackmailers? Who or what are they?

    2. Who is paying for all this public moon bat behavior of lying, deception and spinning as exemplified by Schumer?

    3. What is the end game and the real goal of all this drama?

    4. And the most important question of all: Cui Bono? Who benefits from all this manipulation and maneuvering? Who gets to sit on top of the sand pile when this is done? Who is currently hiding the identities of these manipulators from us?

      1. Thanks, I’ll check it out! Tonight, I’ll be watching “A Man For All Seasons” again on my Roku. It’s the story of Thomas More who was an English lawyer, social philosopher, author, statesman and noted Renaissance humanist. He was also a councillor to Henry VIII, and Lord High Chancellor of England from October 1529 to 16 May 1532. He was killed by Henry VIII because he wouldn’t give in to Henry’s demands and would not violate his conscience to “get along”, as so many others did then and do now. That’s an example we all need to think about in these difficult days.

  3. I hate talking about religion on these blogs because it never turns out well. But Pope Francis is really ticking me off, and I say that as a practicing, serious, life long Catholic. He’s making it clear what his lefty politics are, and is acting more like a anti-capitalist, globalist, liberation theologian and a general, all around crank, than the spiritual leader of Catholics. When religious and spiritual leaders insist that their followers take a particular political stance on an issue (and to not do so would mean they are not good Catholics, Jews, Methodists, Baptists, Lutherans, etc.) we have a major problem.

Francis has more than a mess on his hands with simply properly managing the issues in his own Church. We have financial problems, attendance problems, a crisis in new vocations with the result that current clergy are being worked far beyond their capacity, churches closing all over the place, young people not even slightly interested in living as Catholics, a never ending crisis of sexual abuse in the ranks of the clergy (No, it’s not over. Not even close), a crisis in the upper echelons of the Catholic Church (all the Cardinals which Francis has recently fired because they disagreed with him, e.g.). The Vatican Bank is being used as a money laundering operation for the drug cartels and no one wants to dig into that. Pope Paul I might have have killed early in his pontificate (30 days as Pope) because he promised publicly he was going to “clean up” the Vatican bank.

Anyway, this is the article which got me off on this rant:

“Pope Francis Says America Has ‘a Distorted Vision of the World’”

Clean up your own mess, Francis, then we’ll talk. K?

Thank you for your patience in my rant. This probably wasn’t quite the right place to go off, but there we are.

    1. Another righteous rant! Right on the mark, too.
It’s my hope that he would devote his term to saving souls and return the church to stability – morally and monetarily.
To his complaints about our country (and others), he should look to Jesus Christ’s “render unto Caesar” in all matters.

      1. Good advice for him. He’s the Obama of the modern church, IMHO. All smiles when you see him but, in his actions and words, introducing enormous chaos, doctrinally, in the Church. Not sure why he’s chosen to do that. It’s not good.

        1. But will you still go to church tomorrow and give an offering to that same Catholic Church? There are many nondenominational churches out there Do not complain if you continue to feed the beast . Peace be with you.

        2. The Left has taken over the RCC.

I have never pretended the RCC as political but I did not expect a commie Pope and all his commissars. And their flock of immigrants, illegals, and ass kissing parishes and priests and bishops.

The election of Francis was a political coup.

I will return when he is no longer there. I run in for Communion during the week. I watch Mass on tv or attend another service.

And I pray for Pope Benedict daily.

        3. Excellent article. Will help f you read further to see where it all went wrong (Obama lied to the RC re abortion at the final hour in Obamacare) and it was off to the races.

There are many Catholic bishops, cardinals and others chasing the federal dollar. The RCC sold itself to the government.

          1. Yes, the Wanderer tells it like it is. The very liberal Tobin, recently named Cardinal by Francis, illustrates clearly where Francis is going, politically and doctrinally, and it ain’t good. Additionally, he’s recently canned Cardinal Burke from his job–Burke being a solid, no holds barred “conservative” Cardinal. And Francis has recently mocked the Latin Mass, in spite of both JP2’s and Benedict’s very generous and strong encouragement of the LM. He also recently published his Amoris Laetitia document which has created enormous chaos in the Church. Here’s an article about Amoris Laetitia and the damage it’s doing:

Yes. It’s a coup. We’ll survive this mess (as we have others) and I have absolutely no intention of leaving the Church for these temporal issues. I understand completely that the Church is sacramental and ultimately guided by the Holy Spirit and not by the whims of whomever happens to be Pope at any given period of time. But it’s going to be a hard trek for us for awhile.
