In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Mika and Joe Postpone Vacation to Strike Back at Trump

Well, President Trump seems to have exacted some revenge on MSNBC Morning Joe hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, who have been waging a Jihad against Trump over the past several months and came in for return fire in the form of another crude, gross-out Trump tweet about Mika “bleeding badly from a face-lift.”

The pair, who are engaged to be married, were going to start their July 4 vacation Friday but will do their show instead so they can sink their fangs into Trump, according to the New York Daily News.

I have to say, while Trump has put aside the dignity of his office and is just hurting himself with such tweets, Mika and Joe have abandoned any sense of journalism, waging a personal war against the president and trying to destroy his presidency by provoking and attacking him.

These two supposed journalists have an agenda. They once had the most interesting and informative news program on morning TV. Now they are running a political operation animated at least partially, it seems to me, out of personal pique.

Below is Mika’s churlish, childish response this morning to Trump.

  1. A box of Cheerios – is that some inside joke?
While the anti-Trump crowd was having another meltdown and checking the internet for words that indicate disgust, Congress passed “Kate’s Law” and the more stringent immigration rules go into effect.
As the collective talking head’s organizations colluded their responses to a silly Trump tweet, Americans went to the ball game, put in their 8 hours, cooked dinner for the family, and making plans for the 4th of July celebrations.
Poor Joe and Mika. tsk tsk. Their weekend ruined by a man who refuses to just sit there and take anything they throw at him – how dare he hit back?
    Grow up, all of you.

      1. I had to ask my daughter about “small hands” and Cheerios. She wasn’t sure about the cereal, but the “small hands” was explained to me.
        Sorry I asked. lol.

  2. The only way most people know about the anti-Trump antics of Joe and Mika is that they hear/see/read about it in other media. That’s how bad the Morning Joe ratings are. How bad are the ratings? How about 50,000-60,000 viewers in the important (to advertisers) 25-54-year-old demographic. Nobody watches this show. Wily Coyote reruns get better ratings. Morning Joe is a lonely voice in the wilderness no one pays any attention to. Except other media reporting on it.

    1. Wow… that IS bad ratings. You’re right, so many of these supposed celebrities are only famous in a tiny circle…

It’s like thinking the NYT actually influences anyone. I saw somewhere that they only have about 500,000 Online subscribers.

The National Enquirer may be gauche, but they put Our President Trump’s smiling face in every checkout line in the country for two years, along with articles that presented the real man and his family in a good light. That’s influence.

  3. I like simplistic, but with a little depth!

One winter evening an old Cherokee Indian told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, “My son the battle is between two wolves inside every one of us”.
One wolf is EVIL. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, falsehoods,Pride,
    superiority, and ego.
The other wolf is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.
The grandson thought about the two wolves for quite a while, and then asked his grandfather, “which wolf wins”?
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed”!

  4. Not presidential on Trump’s part, but not a surprise since he has already established himself as taking pot shots etc. As long as he continues to use the other tweets strategically as he does I am good for it.

If I were President Trump I would not respond at all. Generally that frustrates small people like Mika and Joe.

Mika and Joe have been running a juvenile jihad. They invited this and to postpone a vacation to respond is absurd. But then again marrying each other …..

    1. Agree. This hog-rassling with Mika and Joe isn’t worth a thimble of spit.

If Trump wants to Tweet, let him Tweet–all day long– about the passing of Kate’s Law, the much improved economy, the great appointment of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the SC, the soon-to-be defeated ISIS forces in Mosul, the new EPA rules which cancel the insane “puddle of water in your yard” regulations Obama’s EPA passed, the revived Keystone pipeline project, the 50+ percent reduction of illegal immigrant inflow in the country, the announcements of several large companies who plan to build or expand in the US, etc. etc. etc. There’s lots of great stuff going on which Trump ought to be trumpeting all day long, rather than this Mika/Joe nonsense.
