In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

CNN Producer Admits Trump-Russia Coverage is About Ratings

That’s fine. A company has a right to make money. Just, let’s be honest about it.

Project Veritas scored again, this time surreptitiously recording a CNN producer who admits that money is driving CNN’s obsession with the Russia investigation story, and that the coverage persists even though there is no evidence of collusion or wrongdoing by President Trump.

“It’s mostly bullshit right now,” says the producer, John Bonfield, whom I assume is currently looking for a job. What’s not bullshit is the ratings the Russia-Trump story is giving CNN.

“It’s a business,” Bonifield says in the video. “Our ratings are incredible right now . . . Trump is good for business”

Here are a few choice quotes from the video, which you can see below:

President Trump pulled out of the climate accords and for a day and a half we covered the climate accords. And the CEO of CNN said in our internal meeting, he said, “good job everybody covering the climate accords, but we’re done with it let’s get back to Russia.”

so I think the president is probably right to say, like, “look you are witch hunting me. Like, you have no smoking gun. You have no real proof.”

“People are like the media has an ethical … But, all the nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school, you’re just like, that’s adorable. That’s adorable. This is a business. Especially cable news. You know, cable news isn’t the New York Times, and it’s not even like NBC News. I mean NBC News still gets 20 million viewers a night. Cable news is getting a million. So, they gotta do what they gotta do to make their money.

I think there a lot of like liberal CNN viewers who want to see Trump really get scrutinized. And I think if we would have behaved that way with President Obama and scrutinized everything that he was doing with as much scrutiny as we apply to Donald Trump, I think our viewers would have been turned off. I think they would have felt like we were attacking him. I think out viewers right now . . . And I’m not saying all of our viewers are super liberals, I think there’s just a lot of them.

  1. Quit calling yourselves news. No matter what channel you prefer, it’s all about putting out your version of spin. When you get 2 ppl plus sitting around a table slapping each other on the back, laughing at how smart they think they are, the truth and reality are long gone. It’s hard to believe what anyone says. Sad.

  2. It’s no surprise that the whole anti-Trump newscasts are for ratings- people love to watch a car wreck or even an execution. Humans are perversely kind, but feral.
The ratings boost started on that day MrTrump descended down the escalator and never waned, in fact just increased every week.
He’s great news, he knows it, and knows how to play the game.
Rush Limbaugh pointed out some time ago that MrTrump isn’t cowering in the Oval Office, or isn’t lurking around the grounds looking for an escape route, but is moving ahead with his determined agenda.
The anti-Trump population will lose interest soon, if they haven’t already. Nothing is happening, there aren’t guards standing outside the President’s apartment, nor is there a crowd waving pitchforks on the sidewalks in DC.
The LBGTqwerty groups haven’t been placed in camps, the Black community hasn’t been placed in chains, women are still at work as before, so how long will they continue to care what CNN or any MSM has to offer for the Anti-groups.

  3. So, CNN is a reality series about a bunch of people who feed the watching audience beast what it enjoys eating. Watch them dance around and intuit it what the beast wants. Listen to them plan the tastiest fake news. Ignore what they put on the air, that’s not a part of reality.

  4. The biggest news here is that a CNN producer actually told the truth about something. He’ll be looking for a new job soon.

  5. We would do well to heed the clarion cry of Howard Beale’s “I’m as mad as hell & I’m not going to take it anymore!”
