In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

Justice Department Warns Eight Sanctuary Cities

Sanctuary cities may have to get used to an administration interested in the rule of law.

From the Washington Examiner:

The Department of Justice on Friday reprimanded eight “sanctuary cities” for failing to adhere to federal requests to detain illegal immigrants.

It sent a letter warning the jurisdictions that they could lose certain federal grants if they fail to prove they are in compliance with federal law that requires them to communicate with federal officials about on immigration matters. The statute, 8 USC ยง 1373, prohibits local and state governments from enacting laws or policies that limit communication with Immigration and Customs Enforcement Customs and Border Protection about “information regarding the immigration or citizenship status.”

  1. woohoo good! Here in crazy nuts California they need to wack this state hard. Gov Brown and his Mexican buddies just love killer, rapist thugs from Mexico.
Time to teach moonbeam a big lesson. And his commie traitor buddies.

  2. Seven years ago, Arizona legislators raised red flags on illegal alien invasion of our country. The proposed to do their part to enforce Federal law at the state level.
In response, the Obama administration and the business community tried legal means to punish our state and financial boycott to punish our people. Lawsuits were filed, protests in certain cities called for extreme punishments for all of Arizona.

New day, new regime. Now, the law is being enforced as written throughout the US. What a relief.
It’s probably too late for some cities or states to control illegal residents, but it’s not too late for all of us.
