  1. Really, really wondering about that lunch with Christie. Hope it’s not about a job. But speaking of jobs….perhaps at the meeting with Kelly & Sessions they can come up with a Flynn replacement? Are there any good conservative/moderate Democrats out there with solid national security credentials that could be enticed to take the job with an appeal to patriotism, etc.? Someone that could be a slam dunk, no objections or furor?

      • Normally I would be ok with Petraeus. My problem with him is that he’s still on federal probation for mishandling classified info. Now, if there is someone else who can do the job as well and doesn’t have a whiff of controversy about them, they should get the job, IMO. Otherwise, it’s just another thing for the media to grab hold of and use to bash Trump. The less distractions from getting the job done, the better.

        • I tend to agree with you on this. If for no other reason that the anti-Trump fanatics in the media, the Congress, on radio talk shows, etc., would pound on Trump and Petraeus 24/7 for everything they said or did concerning national intelligence. In effect, the hue and cry of the anti-Trump moonbats about the security of our intelligence could give aid and comfort to the enemy and cause the allies with whom we exchange intelligence to have some concerns.
