Tom Brady Takes Heat for Being Friends with Trump

Yes, the Left would have it, being friends with the president is reason to be hated on.

From the Washington Examiner:

If you thought Super Bowl week would provide a much-needed respite from our polarized national political climate, think again.

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady have been getting the third degree on whether they support President Trump.

Not only have the two leading NFL figures been peppered with questions about Trump at their media availabilities, but editorialists and opinion writers have been demanding to know: Are you now or have you ever been a passenger of the Trump train?

Brady in particular has found questions about Trump as persistent and difficult to dodge as the New York Giants pass rush circa 2007.

“Tom Brady no longer gets a pass on his friendship with Donald Trump,” insisted USA Today sports writer Nancy Armour. “Not after this weekend, when the country boiled over in rage and indignation at Trump’s decision to turn America’s back on refugees.”

  1. This all started when someone noticed a MAGA red cap in MrBrady’s locker inside the changing rooms, way back when.
I feel silly just commenting on this ridiculous faux issue of whether the Pat’s quarterback is a friend or has a friendly relationship with the sitting President.
    Who cares!
The MSM sports industry has gone as bonkers as their brother MSM to assume that anyone who has a friendly relationship with someone they hate is not worthy of respect.
BTW, the country did not boil over as the reporter(?) claimed in response to MrTrumps limited ban on refugees. In fact, polls show the majority agreed that it was a smart move in a quest to slow the immigration of people who may be stealth enemies of the US.

  2. Yes, the Obama/Hillary/corporate media/anti-Trump Brownshirts are in full high dungeon at the moment with Tom Brady, aren’t they. And the anti-Milo Yiannopoulos UC Berkeley riots (they want to destroy his books because he supports Trump) are a sign of the times. Reminds us of Ray Bradbury’s book “Fahrenheit 451” where outlawed books are burned by rioters. Bradbury had it right, when he said that “You don’t have to burn books to destroy a culture, you just have to get people to stop reading them”

  3. We now have our own Chinese Red Guard that travels around destroying people.

What do we call them, the Alt-Left Prog Guard?

Truly, these destroyers are Alt-Left if Breitbart is Alt-Right.

  4. I can´t believe how inflammatory the media-political climate seem to be right now . Do you, ordinary Americans, feel it too ? Or is it just the MSM and various activists/celebrities that are calling for violence and a coup against president Trump ?? Unbelievable. When Obama was president and forced that healthcare reform upon the nation, his opponents, although furious, just shook their heads and wrote comments on the Internet. The level of this “resistance” against Trump is sick, seems orchestrated.

    • People are noticing the inflammatory, anti-Trump tone of the media, it would appear. Only six percent of those polled have trust in the press. 94 percent have little or no trust in the media. The media has destroyed its brand, and continues to do so at breakneck speed and as readership and viewership drop to new lows. The media doesn’t seem to care. It’s very strange.

      • They keep turning the crank on their propaganda machine, but it just isn’t taking hold.

What the hell? Only leftists become journalists?
