In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

    1. Yes it is AFVeT. Also interesting that such juicy details and hints were totally ignored during the campaigns. So, who is he really, this fellow ? Why him ?

      1. That’s what you get with a biased press organization.
I think we will find out more about him in the years to come.
Most of the blame should be placed on congress IMO.
They were complicit in deceiving America.

    1. She’s smarter than that…while she might have an axe to grind and NBC would love that, she has much more to gain by trying to be the successor to Oprah…plus a mid day schedule allows her to be with her young family more.

In her signoff last night, she thanked FOX and NBC but did not mention Ailes, which was professional.

  1. ..fighting Republicans on Obamacare..
Sure, defend the indefensible, refuse to allow that the ACA is a disaster, and refuse to admit there might be a better way to help low income people with medical issues.
MrObama is not concerned with the re-election of vulnerable Dems in 2018, he’ll be comfortably retired. His concern is with his legacy legislation surviving because it’s one of the few times his agenda was actually enacted legally under our constitution’s rules.
As MrTrump and his people tear through the Obama EOs and the restrictive regulations imposed by unelected administrators like a bulldozer through a weed infested flower garden, the Obama mandate will be tossed on a compost pile left to rot.

  2. Hello and a belated happy New Year to everyone, (I’ve been away and out of the loop for a while).

Well, here we go – the Obummers are planning yet another party on our dime this Friday:

The final farewell: Obamas reveal they’ll throw one last star-studded bash and Michelle will give her last speech on Friday – before Barack bows out in Chicago

    • The Obamas are expected to host a star-studded bash on Friday
    • Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder and Usher will likely attend the final party
    • The event will be attended by their close friends as well as Democrat donors
    • President Obama is giving his farewell speech on January 10 in Chicago
    • FLOTUS will give her final remarks at the School Counselor of the Year ceremony

President Obama is having a final party at the White House on Friday two weeks before returning to his life as a private citizen.

The Obamas will throw their final bash at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue before Trump’s inauguration on January 20 and is expected to be attended by A-list friends and donors.

Before the party, the President will address the nation for the final time as leader of the free world when he takes to McCormick Place in Chicago on January 10 to deliver his last speech in the same city he gave his first address as POTUS.

First Lady Michelle is also preparing her own farewell and is expected to talk to the American people officially for the last time this month.

The Obama goodbye party is expected to be attended by Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, Usher and Sammuel L Jackson, J.J. Abrams, George Lucas, Oprah Winfrey and Bradley Cooper, an insider told the Washington Post.

In an interview with People Magazine in December, FLOTUS and POTUS confirmed they would have a final bash at their residence of eight years.

The last big party at the White House was for the President’s 55th birthday in August.

    1. Well, they took their last taxpayer funded vacation.

I think Mariah Carey should headline this “star studded” bash.

May the likes of Barack and Michelle Obama never darken our doorstep again.
