Drain the Swamp? Lewandowski to Start Consulting Firm

Close confidants of President-elect Trump are establishing a new government relations and political consulting firm in Washington, D.C., the Washington Examiner has learned.

Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s first campaign manager, who remains closely connected to the president-elect, and Barry Bennett, who advised Trump’s campaign early on after leaving Ben Carson’s 2016 operation, are advertised on the website as the principals behind “Avenue Strategies.” Sources tell the Examiner that Lewandowski and Bennett have been making the rounds in Washington to drum up business for a new firm by that name.

Bennett confirmed to the Examiner that the firm is launching this week.

The Avenue Strategies website describes Lewandowski’s and Bennett’s close ties to Trump in sections detailing their professional histories. Lewandowski and Bennett are launching their firm just as Republicans close to Trump are vowing to reduce the influence of lobbyists and consultants. That is something that Trump also promised.

  1. On one hand you say Trump fired Lewandowski and on the other you say they are good buddies!

    So whats the spin?

You can’t play it both ways…….pick one!

  2. So you are now anti Trump.

Yesterday Lewandowski too contentious to work with and today :

Trump concluding with Lewandowski new lobbing firm.

This is fake news! Either way its fake!

Time for you to get another story to flip

  3. What little I know about consulting or even lobbying firms is that legislators don’t seem to be able to do their job without them.
It’s my personal opinion that Congress should pass a budget to operate the existing necessary government agencies and then go home until it’s time to do it again.
We have more laws than anyone could possibly know about or respect and we don’t need any more.

    • pretty much agree with that!

Here in the nut land of Calif Mexico, we had a part time legislature for a 100 years. Now with full time , they just go nuts with special interest stuff.

    • Agree. These positions in government were not meant to be full time. Greedy, dishonest, lazy bastards found ways to call them “full time” and made an independent, amok-running industry out of government.
