In the history of mankind, many republics have risen, have flourished for a less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state. TR

I hope some of the Hanukah well wishing is sincere.
OT I am heartened Ryan went home and rode the coat tails of DT in WI. The crowd reportedly cheered Donald Trump and jeered Paulie. But best of all, in front of God and everybody, Trump turned to Ryan and said “We’re going to build that wall, Paul”.
Re. the GOPe and spoilers like Ryan and McConnell you would think they could figure out that going against a guy who defeated 16 other candidates one by one, and HRC is not their best move. But, live and learn. Is it too much to ask the GOPe to support the GOP POTUS? Really. And that includes you guys John McCain and Ms.Lindsey.

The GOPe is still smarting from MrTrump’s smackdown of the Repub contenders who were part of the club – the ones who paid their dues, paid honor to the establishment, and were ‘like them’.
Once scorned, they’re waiting to be wooed.
How hard they go against the big money candidates for Cabinet positions remains to be seen. Politics is about the money, after all.

Another of Americas greatest generation dies at age 99.
A U.S. Army veteran who survived the attack at Pearl Harbor and later went on to volunteer at the memorial site died Monday at the age of 99.
Herb Weatherwax, known to many as “Uncle Herb”, was born and raised in Hawaii, and drafted in June 1941.
Six months later, Weatherwax was stationed in Oahu but on a weekend pass in Honolulu when the Pearl Harbor attack occurred on the morning of Dec. 7, 1941, and left more than 2,300 servicemen dead. Weatherwax said he heard the explosions, then saw the USS Oklahoma capsized and the USS Arizona engulfed in flames.
Later in his life, Weatherwax spent several days a week volunteering at the visitors center and memorial site for the USS Arizona, which eventually sank after being bombed in 1941. He got around the site on a motorized scooter, while wearing an embroidered “Pearl Harbor Survivor” cap, posing for photos and offering education where possible.
“This is my reason to continue to keep going,” Weatherwax said of his volunteering in a 2013 interview with The Associated Press. ”Otherwise, it’s time for me to say goodbye.”
Edean Saito, program services manager for Pacific Historic Parks, confirmed that Weatherwax continued to volunteer right up to the time of his passing. In fact, he attended a ceremony just last week commemorating the 75th anniversary of the attack.
Weatherwax’s daughter, Carrie, said her father “was ready” and died a “strong yet peaceful death.”
“As with this ‘Greatest Generation,’ Papa left this earth with dignity and grace,” she added.

My gosh!
Terrible with names, but that Japanese businessman wants to invest $15 billion, IBM another billion or two and Trump hasn’t been sworn in yet.
Definitely MAGA.

OT–I heard a couple of times in recent days that there is another Wikileaks dump due any day. Anybody else hear that, or is it just the ravings of a talk show host?
If there is another WikiDump (I guess we can call it) coming, I hope it reveals even more about the toxic connection between the corporate press and the Hillary/Democrat party schemers in their attempts to steal the election from Trump. Or perhaps more about the coordination of the media and the schemers going on this electoral College “recount”.
Speaking of the impact of the WikiDumps, I came across this October, 2016 story from the NYPost, way, way back in history–like two months ago. It’s just a reminder of how hard these leaks hit the Clintons and the Democrats. From the story:
“Hillary Clinton is “pissed,” Chelsea Clinton is “hurt,” and Bill Clinton is “having a hard time,” according to a new report detailing the reaction to hacked emails of a top aide being slowly released by WikiLeaks.”
The Clintons are like vampires on the body politic. They infect and destroy everything they touch. Only sunlight (Wikileaks in this case) can get them out of our lives and banish them from their never-ending quest for corrupt influence and power.

Rick Perry gets the nod to head the DOE.
I like it.

I like Rick Perry-I would have voted for him if he was up against Hillary in the run off but I like Trump better because he doesn’t care if “they” don’t like what he says, what he does, or who he picks for his top spots. He’s not afraid to tell it like it is. I believe Trump is 100% for the little people who have worked all their lives, paid all of their taxes on time and hardly ever complained.
Marcus
I’m OK with Perry also.

According to my calendar Hanukkah isn’t until Dec 24th. Why is he having these receptions so early?

They will be wasting our tax paying dollars while on vacation in Hawaii!
After January 20, Obama can go back to hating Jews and Israel and hanging out with Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan.

So, 2nd day in a row that the daily briefing is not on his schedule. I thought that it was imperative that the President gets is every day….or is that just Trump?

According to SperoNews Qatar just pledged 10 BILLION dollars to help towards the USA fixing their infrastructure.
I say it’s about time these other countries started to pay us back.

Dems still pushing for an Electoral College coup. Just saw Christine Pelosi (an elector herself) on with Cavuto….never seen her before, but she instantly proved the rotten apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. My god, what an annoying woman!
DP
Isn’t she?! She’s 10x worse than her annoying mother!!
