Good luck today Keith…. all the best… And one thing we all can count on: YOUR daily schedule will be more meaningful and productive than the POTUS. That’s the current one…

Keith, whoever thought Obama’s empty schedule would be a good thing. Short and sweet and you are out the door! Congrats again and good luck.

I ran across a new blog.
For those of you familiar with the Onion, this is along the same lines but with a military bent.
For all of us that have served and even those who haven’t, it is a humorous take on the military that I think you will enjoy, especially you Spook.
Haha. I’ve been reading Duffelblog for years. The beauty with satire is that it always contains a grain, or grains of truth. Another good one is Terminal Lance.
Very interesting. Many years ago, I spent a week at Quantico working on a special project with the Marines (I was Air Force). I visited the Post Exchange and wandered into the book section there and I was amazed at how many books from ancient Greek and Roman philosophers were on the shelves. I bought the Marcus Aurelius book on leadership and a couple of other books whose titles escape me at the moment. The very fine selection of books on philosophy and history there really surprised me. Maybe that’s where Gen Mattis developed his taste for classic literature–at Quantico.

I think Patton was a student of historical battles also.
Marcus
Yes, he was. His widow, Beatrice, once compiled a list of Patton’s favorite books in his library. And here, through the magic of the internet, is that list. Some pretty good stuff there.
Haven’t had a budget in 7 years — go Congress! Wonder what the excuse will be this year and I wonder how Trump will respond to the crazy world of appropriation bills and CRs.
Then we’ll see where Paul Ryan really stands.

Nancy Pelosi says Carson is “disturbingly unqualified” to be HUD Secretary. If Pelosi was a Republican with this objection she would be called a racist. At least that has been the political norm for the last 8 years.
Mr. Pibb
The Dems’ routine is so tiresome…they’re disturbed by everything Trump does. Let ’em keep talking – no one’s listening anymore.

HOW great for ALL of us!!! Looking forward to following you “wherever thou goest”

Funny. Well done. Thanks.
Right out of the gate, Pelosi slams Ben Carson.

If Trump choose the 12 Apostles to be in his cabinet the Dem’s would still bitch about it.
Screw ’em.
